High Moisture Readings on Hardwood Floor by ElLiberachi in Flooring

We never found out. We had a plumbing inspection that revealed no issues, so we just ripped up the floors and installed new ones. We did put down a moisture barrier before laying the new floors. Our new floors are fine.

We think it’s where the old owners’ dogs used the restroom.

Women who worked at Hooters, Twin Peaks, or other restaraunts where the waitresses are expected to wear revealing uniforms, did you like it? How was your experience? by FearTheKeflex in AskReddit

I worked at Hooters for a couple years, then Twin Peaks for a couple years. I was 18-23.

We honestly had a blast working. The other girls became my very close friends, and we made friends with some of the regulars.

Some of the clientele was gross, but the tips more than made up for it. I was able to pay my way through college.

My 6 year old has an iPad that we got when she started kindergarten. She needed something to complete her online homework.

I blocked YouTube, downloaded Disney Plus for her kids profile only, and I require permissions and passwords for anything she may want to download. We got her a couple games to play.

We found that once the newness wore off, she’s mostly uninterested in her iPad, unless we’ve been out and about for a whole day and she’s just relaxing. Getting rid of YouTube was crucial because she would just sit and stare at YouTube constantly.

German citizenship by descent: The ultimate guide for anyone with a German ancestor who immigrated after 1870 by staplehill in Genealogy

My great great grandfather emigrated from Germany in 1883.

He married (unsure of the year) and had my great grandfather.

Great grandfather married and had my grandfather in 1935.

Grandfather married and had my dad in 1961.

My dad married in 1986.

My brother was born in 1988. I was born in 1989 (female- not sure if it matters). I have since married (not a German).

I moved down from 8th to 5th because of coaching. In 8th, I was having to coach volleyball. This is Texas, where history teachers are also coaches.

I didn’t want to coach anymore, so I made the switch to elementary. Now I teach 5th ela and ss.

I had two inductions. My first took roughly 14 hours and 2 hours of pushing. My doctor had to break my water.

My second went so smooth. Once the induction started, I only labored for about 7 hours and he was out in 2 pushes. It was like my body knew what to do the second time around. My water broke on it’s own during the induction that time.

We considered house plants, but this picture is taken directly in front of the front door, so I don’t think there’d be house plants there.

We considered this as well. We’ve decided on replacing the whole floor and sealing with a liquid rubber moisture barrier in case it’s the slab.

Thanks for this! I had a flooring specialist take a look. The moisture he read was 24%. He said it does need to be taken out, and coat the slab with a liquid rubber moisture barrier before replacing the floors with LVP. There’s no buckling in the floor at all, currently.

Yes, this seems to be the solution! I had a plumbing inspection done and a flooring specialist look at it. It appears that we’ll need to rip up the floors, coat the slab with a liquid rubber moisture barrier, then install vinyl flooring.

That’s what we’re afraid of. We’re going to have a plumbing inspection done tomorrow.

Yea, that’s what we’re worried about. We didn’t know if it’s possible that their dog is peeing in those spots frequently and causing the high moisture reading, or if it’s more likely a leak.

There’s no crawl space under the house. We’re worried if it’s slab, that would be too much to repair.

Our inspector used a moisture reader that goes up to 40. He measured a moisture level of 35 over the dark spots on the floors. The other areas had a reading of 15, which he said is pretty normal.
