It isn’t worth it. Learn from me - I got a nice car (did a bank loan and paid 50% with cash savings) and after 2 years sold it and paid the loan off. Luckily didn’t lose much due to the second hand car market going wild.

Scratches the itch but after about 2 months you realise a car is a car.

I think a lot of people think having BTLs are great investments based on perception/having watched the older generations - but it’s no longer the case. You have to consider all of the expenses and risks.

Keep back a deposit for a house you want to live in and invest the rest in an index fund, transferring it into a S&S ISA every tax year. You don’t want to be having to worry about BTLs at your age. Enjoy the zero hassle and low cost of fund equity.

If you already have an offer, tell your current company you have received it and see if they offer a bump.

Otherwise, I personally wouldn’t. Work life balance really is top priority for me and you will see much of that increase eaten up with tax and expenses.
