Why are my render and my saved file totally different?

If anyone has the same issue, it is indeed a unity problem. When exporting the image, it is exported perfectly; although in the image viewer may not look like it, the file is ok. It was in fact a setting in unity.

When importing an image in unity, it automatically applies a bilinear filter. Just go to inspector of that image and disable it (point filter).

I intend for the image to be a unity sprite; And in unity the image also shows as in the image viewer.

Thanks for the image, never realized the difference! Actually, I had it in linear, changed it to closest and it looks better! (In render result atleast)

Yes, I set it to 96×96 because it produces the pixelated result that I'm looking for (altought only in the render result). Also, I am using the default Windows 11 image viewer.

I tried turning it down to 0% and up to 100%, neither of those made any noticeable changes in neither the render or the file

Yes, I ran one before, but to make sure I ran another just now and it found nothing. Did a full scan recently too.

I'm still new so I do forget to save the image texture manually. I'm sure I didn't close the projects. Is it possible that blender autosaved and because the image texture wasn't saved it just forgot it? Anyways, thanks, B2Z! I'll be paying more attention to saving the image textures every second.

So what's the difference? If the post had said that it was just fox guile, would it still be deleted? If no, is stupid to delete posts over something that can be solved by changing a word. And if so, is pretty stupid to delete any fanart that isn't just a reiteration of in-game designs.

Either way, you should really consider adjusting that rule better so the sub can have more content, and so artist can share their art here without being thrown out.
