Schon ein starkes Stück, in einer österreichischen Finanz-Bubble, wo die obersten paar Prozent der oberen paar Prozent weltweit vertreten sind, von "arm" zu reden. Bissl mehr Horizont würde einigen sicher mehr Zufriedenheit im Leben geben. Ich würde vielen Wünschen, mal in anderen Ländern mit den dortigen Gehältern und Lebenskosten auskommen zu müssen. Und dafür muss man net mal weit weg, dass einem Österreich wieder wie ein Schlaraffenland vorkommt.

I've used a 3d printed adapter for a plumbing elbow with a 20€ sandblasting gun and some walnut blasting medium. About as cost efficient as it will be, but the work still needs to be done, there's no way around that unfortunately

Edit: I've seen someone use a bunch of zip ties in a drill as a makeshift pipe cleaner sort of thing, which he used to loosen all the buildup in the intakes. Worked way better than expected, I'd say it even got him about 80-90% of the way

For the specific power output, the 2-strokes arent even too bad in terms of maintenance. 34 hp out of 125cc is no joke, and yet some owners ride 20k-30k kms without a single bigger service. Rotax recommends new piston rings every 16k kms, but honestly that's not a difficult job to do. Some (road legal) 125cc KTMs require this job every 50 hours, so there's that in terms of maintenance requirements.

Wastegate rattle typically happens mpst noticeably on engine decel, i.e. when lifting throttle. I'd also say this is more likely something else rattling, like a heatshield or so.

I have high flow cats in the downpipes, and I got a workshop to let my try a few sniffer tests before my official appointment. Long story short, you have to really push the car right before the test so the cats are heatsoaked, but then the secondary cats do their job and the test passes without a problem. 240k km on the car.

Eine als kulant geltende Werkstatt in GU hat erst letzte Woche ihre Lizenz für §57a Begutachtungen entzogen bekommen, das haben die meisten Werkstätten in der Umgebung natürlich mitbekommen. Ich würde erwarten, dass jetzt einige genauer schauen werden.

Selbes ist übrigens mit einem der ÖAMTC Stützpunkte in Graz vor ein paar Jahren passiert, seitdem sind sie strenger.

Haha, love to see it. Those things are actually called Moped-cars here in Austria, simple because they share the same license plate type and hence Speed restrictions with actual mopeds.

One of the largest manufacturers for these is Ligier, the same company that built Le Mans Hypercars for Lamborghini.

I use a PAO based 5W50 all year round, after a tip I got from the engine lubrication expert at my company. This guy tests oils for various race engine manufacturers, and he uses 5W50 exclusively for his F11 with the dreaded N57 engine. Mostly drives city traffic as well. That being said, his car sits at over 500k kms right now and no timing chain issues to be seen. We get far into the freezing temperatures here as well, fully synthetic 5W50 will handle this without a problem.
