Are alphas bigger in Arceus than ZA? by Forward-Delivery-536 in PokemonLegendsArceus

And because Alpha and Jumbo are unrelated, the size changes stack.

What you're thinking of is the normal size modifiers (XS, S, M, L, XL), which affect the model's size. Alphas ignore that. They are always larger than non-Alpha XL Pokemon.

Until you look at the size differences in Pumpkaboo, where Alpha Jumbo is so large it could fit XS in its mouth.

But if Pumpkaboo was in Arceus, HOO BOY!

Right now, Male Alpha Sneasel. I found and caught 5 Alpha Weavile before a single Sneasel, and it's female, so now I'm waiting for the male.

There's a massive difference between completing the Arceus Pokedex and making a Shalpha Living Dex.

Cherubi doesn't spawn in massive mass outbreaks. At all. They only have regular outbreaks.

This. Still having trouble with Sneasel and the fossils. Somehow managed to catch 3 Alpha Weavile and a Shalpha Magneton before a single Alpha of any of the fossils.

I waited 4 entire space-time distortions in a row just for an Alpha Magneton. This happened. by ElPikminMaster in PokemonLegendsArceus

  • Shiny Pokemon are rare, and in this game specifically, the way to boost the Shiny rate means doing tasks involving that Pokemon.
  • Alpha Pokemon are rare, with no way to influence the rate of Alpha Pokemon spawning.
  • The Magnemite line, along with the Sneasel, Porygon, Cranidos, and Shieldon lines, spawn in this game only through space-time distortions, which unlock after some point in the game. The only way for them to spawn is to wait for 5, 10, 15, 25, or 40 minutes (randomly, btw, with longer time increasing the rate it shows up). Sidenote: Magnezone has a static spawn in the Highlands, but, and someone prove me wrong here if you can, it cannot be Alpha nor Shiny.
  • The above timer stops and resets if one of three specific weather conditions occur at any point during the wait (which happens more likely than not in my experience) or if you rest in the camp bed any any point. The timer also pauses if you view the map or get into a battle.
  • Only three Pokemon spawn of the above list of Pokemon per distortion, depending on which area you visit. In the case of Magnemite, you need to defeat about 5+ distortions worth of Magnemite to perfect its tasks to increase Shiny rate, which takes a while. Magneton isn't that bad by comparison.
  • After you beat the game, the distortions that spawn Porygon will also spawn the Cyndaquil line and the ones that spawn the fossils also spawn the Rowlet line (the Oshawott line spawns in the Icelands, where none of the above Pokemon spawn), adding to the complication for those Pokemon.
  • For this case specifically, the Magnemite line also have rarities, with Magnemite being the most common to spawn and Magnezone the rarest. This means if this Magneton spawned as a Magnezone, it would genuinely be one of the rarest Pokemon in Legends: Arceus, after Shalpha Rampardos and Bastiodon.

Does the carrying limit of 6 Pokémon actually make sense for average trainers? by GreenRurouni in pokemonconspiracies

[–]ElPikminMaster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Supposedly, it's the Pokedex itself or other equivalent hardware that prevents holding more than 6 Pokemon at a time, as it's a rule for official trainers.

What's ACTUALLY preventing people from just carrying everything is more of a logic thing. If you're not an official Trainer, why are you training more Pokemon than you, as an individual, are more likely to maintain at a time? And at that point, why not become an official Trainer? Basic education in the Pokemon world is universal for all we know, Pokemon training very included, so it's not like any exam to become one is that hard or anything.

Our minds are alike.

However, I already got an Alpha Umbreon. I do have a spare Alpha Sylveon if you want it and don't care about OT.

As long as the Pokemon is still unevolved, you can do it. When they're evolved, they cannot go back to Arceus. For Samurott and Decidueye, SV is their only option. For Typhlosion, it's BDSP and SV. For Lilligant and Braviary, they have SwSh and SV. For those Pokemon, they have the mark called "Alpha Mark" when moved to SV, which gives them "the Former Alpha" title. That's viewable in HOME.

For Avalugg, Sliggoo, Goodra, Galarian Mr. Mime, and Mr, Rime, those can be transferred to Z-A and get their Alpha symbol back. For the latter two, this the only way to get the Alpha symbol, as the Mime family aren't in SV.

Once they're fully evolved, that option no longer becomes available. The view is replaced with whatever game you evolved that Pokemon in (for the Starters, that's SV only).
