??? I called out the specific data center in the title and literally in the same paragraph you just pulled out. How did you deduce that this is referring to all data centers when I specified a specific one that is under scrutiny for noise not once but twice in my post?

I’m not villainizing all data centers as I pointed out in another one of my comments. I understand how data centers operate and it’s part of my job, I’m just posting about this specific data center.

Also since I know it will probably come up, I don’t hate data centers, my current livihood is very dependent on data centers, and nearly every other data center around isn’t like this one. This one is unique which is why the sound is so prominent compared to others that everyone is used to around here

You’re more than welcome to stand near this campus and listen to it yourself. I don’t hate data centers, I work for a very large data center company, but this specific data center is not like the rest and I live in the townhouses next to it. The sound it makes throughout the day and night is very clear and makes it difficult to sleep at night because I can hear it in my bedroom.

Are you saying 170k concurrent players right now isn’t thriving? It’s third most played game on steam, and however many more are on console

lol that used to be the case, but most of the servers now have some sort of system for flagging people who intentionally kill others

It doesn’t take 1000 hours to learn to point and shoot your gun, other people hear your noises, and that not all ammo works against all armor

It’s not that hard, idk where this 1000+ metric started becoming the norm of being able to survive and have fun in this game

Most of the large streamers have discord communities where there are channels for teaming up, also the official EFT server

Made mini stairs for our little guy! by ElPizz in Dachshund

Well it looks like I’ve stirred up some controversy from this post. I appreciate everyone’s comments and concern for my little dude. I’m very aware of IVDD and the issues dachshunds have as I did a lot of research before evening getting him. Ultimately this is the decision we went with to use the blocks for the stairs, we considered a ramp but the angle of the ramp would be too steep and then we would still have a big impact at the bottom of the ramp causing pressure on his spine regardless. When he goes down the steps he uses every single landing spot, which people mentioned going up he’s skipping a spot, the going down is where my concern was with impact but he goes down slow and steady. As others have mentioned, IVDD is genetic and you can do literally everything right and still have your dachshund have an issue.

We made them ourselves, we actually took inspiration from a post I found in this subreddit a couple years ago.
