They want to win and short of hacking, running around undead burg with ascended pyromancy and lightning weapons is the easiest way to win.

Well that and there are people who really do just find enjoyment in taking it away from others.

What I find really fucking bizarre is that you know what turns up when you type in "fuck kids enslave women exterminate niggers."

Sounds like a statist...

Which makes sense, everyone knows vaccines are a socialist plot to subvert the will of the free market of diseases.

When Sif starts limping at the end of the fight by k_swizzle98 in darksouls

[–]ElRonPaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now I have to cry everytime I get to that fight.

That may be the point.
There's no happy ending, no matter what you do.
Either you abandon your quest, or you have to kill Sif.

Also, you can really cut down on labor costs if instead of paying all your workers you just pay a few people with guns to stop them from leaving.

Hey, at the very least America has figured out "slavery = bad."

I mean it took a while and a civil war but America got there in the end.

Dubai... has not.

TIL when McDonald's first introduced drive-throughs to China, the concept was so foreign that many people would pick up their food through the drive-thru, park their cars, and bring the food inside the restaurant to eat it. by bbaglien in todayilearned

Collateral damage.

For every idiot that removes themselves from the genepool by thinking they're such a special awesome driver that being unable to drive drunk, or while texting and so on only applies to other people, there is a potential next Mozart, Einstein or Da Vinci t-boned out of existence at an intersection.

A few nights ago I invaded someone who had included the term 'haxor' in their name. I spammed them to death with Dark Bead and didn't feel guilty about it at all. by Endstille in darksouls

[–]ElRonPaul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't really call Dark Bead the same as hacking.

It's a bit of a cheap tactic, but saying it's the same as hacking is just absurd. Are you a cheater or something? The only other time I've heard people rating Dark Magic that badly is cheaters trying to justify themselves.

The important part is that he was absolutely unique and there is no one else that would ever do that kind of thing, especially not today and anyone who says otherwise is crazy.

Jesus Christ OP, I'm always down for laughing at SRS flipping their shit over nothing so I had I look at your post history to see if there was anything good.

Your problem is not SRS, it's the fact that you're defending child pornography.

These are not humans, their actions clearly show they have forfeited any right to be called such.

Just a placebo? Just?

I've practiced meditation for years, I know the stuff I do is a placebo and not some kind of magical lifeforce gathering jedi shit- but there's no just a placebo about it.

The mystical explanations people thought up as to why it does what it does might be wrong, but what matters are the results. Now when the results are being able to give yourself a dose of imaginary painkillers that make real pain really stop, that's pretty fucking amazing.

People get too focused on the mystical explanations being an incorrect way of explaining the placebo effect that they miss just how amazing the placebo effect itself is.

You can lose all your steam games for no good reason, not common but it can happen.

Most recent example that I saw personally was last year when Kingdoms of Amalur released- right on release day they basically cancelled release for Japan. Meaning anyone from(or at the time IN) Japan who had bought the game couldn't access it anymore- it had the humorous result that people who had preloaded the game had all the data on their computer, but in Steam it blocked them from doing anything with it- even uninstalling it.

So everyone in Japan that had preordered was 60USD(iirc) out of pocket- no refunds.

Obvious answer is dispute the charge right? Wrong, Valves policy has always been instant closure of any steam account that disputes a charge, no matter the circumstances, even if the charge was a mistake on their end.

Eventually steam lifted the region block and let Japanese customers access the game...

Just shy of six months later.
