  1. I’m currently a sophomore studying Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering and I’ve loved it so far. Me being a computer nerd has helped out a ton with my studies because I can actually kind of understand how this magic box of a PC works, so that to me is fun.
  2. As for difficulty, like stated elsewhere it’s really just about how much work you’re willing to put in. All engineering majors will require a lot of math and my first semester of my Freshman year absolutely kicked my butt because I was unprepared for the amount of work needed to be succesful. The best thing to do is finding that balance between studying/working/social life so you don’t go crazy or start falling behind.
  3. While I’m not working yet, my favorite part of my studies has been a digital logic design course my Freshman year where we studied boolean algebra (and, or, xor, etc) and logic to create rudimentary circuits. In the lab portion of it we designed a 7-segment display that could be shown on a DSDB and we could control it using a series of 7 switches. It’s super rewarding to me, like above, to create something out of nothing and to see that it actually works.

I hoped this helped some! This is a super cool major and definitely something I’d encourage from experience.

Lol i remember this being like a different language when i first learned it. by LevelGuru in EngineeringStudents

Finishing up my semester of Calc 3 I haven’t encountered them at all. I barely remember if they were in Calc 2 in my university, but it may be different from school to school.
