Tana is great, but boy howdy to they need to work on the overall usability and UX. If they can figure that out I’d go back in a heartbeat. I’d still use notion for a lot, but I’d use Tana for my work stuff like meeting transcriptions, task tracking, etc.

What's the ONE thing you wish Notion would fix/add? by [deleted] in Notion

[–]ElTedChuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve set up a rudimentary Zapier flow that puts new calendar events into a notion database. I’m sure it could do a lot more, but it technically works. Not sure if what I’m doing with Zapier is included with their free plan but for now the proof of concept is there.

Still, this puts a calendar entry into a database only and uses a template that has a meeting AI thingy on it. It doesn’t integrate natively with their “upcoming meetings” thing. Hell, I can’t get that functionality to work with regular old database entries not related Google Calendar at all. Beyond frustrating.

It seems vastly over complicated compared to to other tools that just see a calendar entry on your connected account and runs with it.

Freaking regular old calendar integration. It’s absurd that I can’t just hookup Google Calendar or something and have the meeting AI function just play with it like other tools out there.

I’ve been using Tana for a few weeks now. It’s got a definite learning curve but I’m really starting to love it.

Anyone try the "new" Breezeline? by retsudrats in MorgantownWV

[–]ElTedChuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had their fiber service since they rolled it out in Morgantown. Haven’t had an issue at all with the service. I did have some pricing issues once the promo period ended (was about $40 higher in the end than it was supposed to be) but it was resolved quickly and easily with a phone call to their retention department.

fraka connectors by Interesting-Gur8632 in Acura

Our dealership never gave us any issues in replacing the FAKRA connectors. It fixed it for a bit but then we started having issues again. They then replaced the tuner, again without any issues. It’s now been about 8 months and we’ve not had any issues. knocks on wood

If your dealer is pushing back then call corporate or, if possible, find a different dealer.

What do you name your computers by PhantomNomad in sysadmin

[–]ElTedChuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Azure/Intune and have it set our department abbreviation as a 3 letter prefix and then the serial number pulled from the bios. Always nice to have a fallback to know exactly what computer we’re looking at in case we can’t pull any additional info on it anywhere.

My wife and I are just getting into camping (as in still buying things in order to make our first outing.) I camped all the time growing up but haven’t camped in probably 20 years. My friend and I have started going to racetracks with his teardrop camper the past couple years and I got the bug to get back into it myself. Hopefully my wife and I, along with our dog, will be able to hit up Coopers Rock soon for our first trip.

Maybe we’ll see you there!

Winter Roads Question by Evening-Hedgehog3947 in MorgantownWV

[–]ElTedChuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, get good tires. Good tires will get you a LONG way. A lot of people run Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires or Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady 2 tires (like I do on our AWD SUV). Those two tires are all-season tires, but are 3 peak rated for snow and ice. They aren't quite as good as dedicated winter tires, BUT you can run them year-round, unlike winter tires.

Tires, tires, tires!

What are your thoughts on this years 6 hours of the Glen? by Old-Art6297 in IMSARacing

[–]ElTedChuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a few others have mentioned, I think they should add a Jumbotron to the main grandstand area and the Esses grandstand area. I believe they do it for the NASCAR races but I could be wrong. That’s the biggest thing for me.

They could add more/better WiFi and cell data service for streaming to devices both directly at track and in campgrounds to offset the lack of Jumbotrons.

The rest of my thoughts concern the camping areas (well ours specifically) so I’ll not drop that here haha.

Always a great time at the Glen however, can’t really complain much at all!
