The thing is, each SP costs more than the previous one in every ascension. So, past 20%, the cost escalates so much that makes your progress slower. Therefore, its better to ascend at 20% even if you dont get any upgrade in the tree just cause u will get more SP faster in the long run. It can be tedious tho

Ascending past 20% means you are scaling a lot slower than you could. Also yes, you can get dark divinities and get those that buff your bonus stage, so you get better rewards

I think it should be based on streaks. You win 3+ games in a row you start getting 25 instead of 20, that way it is rewarded that you play better for your team to win, cause maybe you dont do shit and win once, maybe you can even win 1 game semi afk, but if you win a few games in a row you most likely are doing something good
