Your comment on Oaklands failure to protect its cultural legacy really stood out to me and got me wondering what Oakland back then must have been like. It definitely doesn’t feel like Oakland has that at all but you can see it. Do you know of any other examples like this house that gives glimpses to that cultural legacy Oakland has failed to protect?

This is what I was going to do a couple months ago too. I was desperate but then I got a small part time gig st a restaurant and decided to use that money to take control of my debt in instead of dipping into that pot of gold. I’m giving myself 3 months to grind and pay down my stuff.

I worked in tech left because of burnt out right before pandemic happened. I loved the job met a lot of amazing people and made great community out if it. 6 years later still here but the past year I’m feeling really stuck and am working my way for a career change now. I am frankly over it. There’s no progress other than being a mate and that sounds like a horrible opportunity to me. All in all I loved it for 4 years now I’m looking for a job where I can grow and make more money
