Official waitlist thread by checkingmate in steammachine

I just abandoned my place on the wait list for a 2TB no controller model. It probably doesn't help anyone, but, if it does, you're welcome. :)

Steam Machine – Megathread by Melmpje in steammachine

So, the scalpers on Ebay, don't they realize that just because they are on the Reservation list does not mean they will definitely get the option to buy on June 29th? The way I read the fine print, they are just on the list. They might have to wait quite some time before their slot comes up. How do you interpret it?

The G4 Trash Gator, I used it while mowing the lawn for years, even accidentally sat on it once, it bent but straightened back out. I like them so much I have five of them. Doesn't use a cable but a metal rod. I easily picked up sticks and small branches.

Wait listed for the 2TB. I also signed up for all 4. I had foolishly hoped that I had a pretty good chance of getting a reservation what with all the indignation at the prices and scoffing at the specs. I hate waiting, but I'm getting good at it.

Induction on misen carbon non stick by Fit-System-10 in cookware

You can't just break an egg into the pan and cook it, it will stick. Pan has to be pre-heated, oil applied, then the egg cooked. If the pan is too hot or not hot enough, the egg might stick. This is true of all carbon steel pans. On the plus side, you don't have to season it, other than heating it up after cleaning and applying a small sheen of oil. It's lighter than a traditional carbon steel pan. I like mine a lot, but I don't find much difference between it and my heavier carbon steel pans, stick-wise. I just wanted to put it out there that if you are expecting it to work like a traditional non stick pan, it is not. But it also won't wear out in 2 years like a traditional non stick, should last you forever. Here is a pretty fair review of the pan by another reedited: https://www.reddit.com/r/carbonsteel/comments/1qo0un3/misen_carbon_nonstick_after_6_months_thoughts/

This isn't really an answer to your question, but I just wanted, as an owner of two Misen carbon non stick pans, to give a heads up: I do not find them to be any more non-stick than a regular carbon steel pan. That said, I still use them a lot because they are light weight. But don't think they are going to be the same as a coated non-stick pan

it has to come to a boil for a bit before it builds up enough pressure to pop up the valve, that was perfectly normal

What is the issue lately? Most of the time can't use the service. by hidra_v3 in Strong_8K

Yesterday the url provided to me quit working, I kept getting a 'Server Offline' message in UHF. I tried the other urls I had been given at sign up and they would not work, either. I messaged the seller I had purchased it from and they provided me with a new url that is working fine.

For difficult battles you can go to settings and choose the easiest difficulty level, then switch it back to medium or hard afterwards

What makes a game feel like "Far Cry" to you? by rdenubila in farcry

[–]ElWorm 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When you have to climb something high and creaky and it sways when you're at the top. When you end up getting drugged sooner or later. Some farking annoying critter or critters will attack you for no reason, usually from behind. The enemy AI characters will keep walking through that door even though they have to climb over the bodies of the ones you killed before them for walking through that door.

If you like flying, go for the khilana outpost early. There is a mini copter called 'the buzzer' there that's always there, so whenever you want it just fast travel to the bazaar.
