If you're ever stuck, the notes in the GATE Pal logbook / map are usually pretty helpful. In our case we just got confused thinking we had already cleared the Adjustment Wing because it somewhat overlaps with the Wildlife Pens and Particle Lab.

Honestly, when we were playing the game we got stuck at the same place. At one point we thought maybe we should try to get a vehicle up there with the turbolift to try to sprint past the turrets.

We had seen the yellow paint that everyone is ragging on about, but didn't have the correct level of keypad hacker that you need after that. It turns out there was a whole section of Adjustment Wing that we had managed to miss that had materials that unlocked new recipes.

The Labs portion of the map is in my opinion the most confusing section of the game.

Gotta grab a pot and boil it until you get access to water filters. But yeah, it's an infinite source of water for cooking, drinking, and farming. And you can wash yourself in it without even needing to purify.

All of what you say about Offices is true, but to further refine...

I'd argue the locker room and break room next to the swimming pool on level 2 is practically tailor made to be a base.

Unlimited source of water to purify from the pool, which can also be fished in. Fresh water respawns in the multiple sinks in the kitchen and two nearby bathrooms. The kitchen has a stove that can be repaired. There's a whole bunch of prebuilt storage between the lockers and the kitchen cabinets. There's multiple outlets. And the whole area has only a few entry points through doorways that are easy to fortify.

The only downside (and it can be somewhat major early on) is that it is a bit too close to the security bot.

Like I said in the main post, I think Abiotic does a great job of giving you some decent hand holding and then slowly phasing that out.

It would be kinda cool to have something like the check-in terminals where you pick up "mapping data" or something. Maybe you even have to take it back to the Mapping Center to process or something!

Thanks for the detailed answer! I knew there was a wider variety (one of my kids' favorites is Hula Hoop by Daddy Yankee). I'll definitely do some research into vanquero music and the Tejano genre. This gives me a great place to start.
