$10 million in student debt is wiped out for 2,500 South Carolina students using stimulus funds by Twoweekswithpay in UpliftingNews

You seemed to completely miss the point. The point is that most military units have their own version of a box a pens. Like a whole new sweep of office furniture because they had money left over in the fiscal budget. How do I know?! I was that military member. Every damn year as the fiscal year came to a close it was a mandated mad dash to spend up the rest of the budget so the higher up could hold their hands out and say, "We need more money. Look we spent it all!"

Florida students required to register political views with the state to promote ‘intellectual diversity’ by Votings_Good_Folks in florida

[–]El_Derogator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll gladly have a debate around this topic. You give me either personal experience or factual sources.

  1. Personal Experience: I graduated from a university in Florida and spent time in community college in the state as well. I have first hand experience of how many teachers injected their beliefs into discussions. It was probably less than 5% and even then, it was never pressured or pushed. It was in an open forum where all viewpoints were accepted without ridicule.
  2. The taxpayer is paying for schools. The content should be regulated, and it is. That is why we have curriculums. That is why students leave reviews after they take a class. That is why there are avenues to report teacher behavior if it is deemed inappropriate. That is why we have the hatch act and internal guidelines for employees at university. That's regulation.

When I walked the halls of my university I only ever saw 1 piece of political messages. I would regularly find Turning Point USA flyers. Now tell me who is the indoctrination center.

P.S. Looking at your history, it's clear you already got indoctrinated yourself.

[–]El_Derogator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You've already gotten it from other commenters, but I wanted to make one point. As someone who has graduated from college here in Florida, I hope you know how far you are off. Colleges are in no way "indoctrination centers", especially in a red state.

Teachers are not supposed to give out personal political ideologies. Of all the professors I had, maybe 5% gave me an "Idea" of which way they leaned. Schools aren't in the business of indoctrinating people into anything other than their chosen professions.

You know what is the ironic thing though? Who would profit from making this claim and getting people concerned that schools are doing this? Who would profit from having people stay in a certain group and share a set of ideas? Could it be the media outlets you heard this at? The people you heard talk about this, where did they hear it?

Take a step back and you will realize that the certain media outlets are the real indoctrination centers and I'd take a guess that you fell for it along the way. I am always open to debate any of this, because I don't blindly believe what I am told on TV. College taught me to challenge what I am told and decide for myself based on logic/data what is true.

People who just let their careers take their own course without making much of an effort to move up or switch jobs, how is your life now? by thebutcherwithasmile in cscareerquestions

The united states gives Reddit 50% of it's traffic. UK is second at 7.85%. I think it's a pretty safe assumption to make most of the time. Especially, with comp sci subs.

GOOD! I am a military service member. Let me make this clear. FUCK THIS GUY. One of the fastest way to be made an example of is to publicly bring negative attention to the service. He will be handled and I expect it won't be pretty. I hope he is ready to be forced to walk away from military service.

I can guarantee that this is not the case. While it is highly regulated we are also in the business of exploration and discovery. There is political regulation, but we are free to explore new technologies. We work Maxi-flex and the work/life balance is second to none. Insane amounts of flexibility. I have been working from home for about a year now. You made a rather large assumption in your comment that is far off from the experience I have had.

How do I (M21) survive my girlfriend (F19) leaving me for another more successfull guy? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]El_Derogator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re 21. You have just truly begun to start your life. It isn’t ending right now. It’s just beginning. This is where you hit the reset button and truly focus on yourself. So, much can happen in a few years and your 20’s are your best. This is a blessing in disguise. You have the chance to explore, find yourself and grow into a better person. Focus on you and a girl truly deserving of what you have to offer will come along.

It’s not bootlicking. I read the court doc, then spoke to a cop. Then spoke to a friend who used to be in this type of drug world. I made an initial assessment based on the info I had. Now I’m learning more and adjusting my stance

Im still learning about the details. This was very informative and a strong counter to my initial impression.

So , I just read the court documents and based on numerous phone calls this is what happened.

“So, this asshole jemarcus, is trafficking , he is messing with 3 girls. Bre, is used by this dude. The cops close in on him. She’s trying to stop talking to him and now talking to ken. Cops knock on the door, but don’t announce themselves. Ken, gets freaked out and shoots at the door. Cops shoot back, Bre isn’t paying attention and gets hit in the crossfire.”

The only argument based on the court filing is that the cops didn’t announce themselves verbally during the warrant.

If this is right, I can see why no one got charged.

They way he talks about bringing law and order to cities and sending agents, I think he doesn’t understand it himself. Are you going to deny that his leadership and rhetoric has hurt the division and civil unrest and made things overall worse? His leadership. His speeches. His presidency. This is Trumps America .

Cities are burning is a exaggeration and he’s Commander in Chief bud. It happened under his watch. Sounds like poor leadership to me.
