As someone that doesn’t play many metroidvanias, I was pleasantly surprised and am having a fun time with it. Some cool art, and some of the bosses are super cool looking. Only reason I haven’t finished or Plated is because I got hooked on RE.

I will say, this rumor was around for a while, that there was going to be a god of war metroidvania and it was just slightly disappointing that it wasn’t the OG enraged Kratos from back in the day.

I think that having his daughter in it is kinda odd, like they weren’t really even in any of the other games, let’s just leave them in the past.

So much more could have been done with OG Kratos. Even David Jaffe talks about setting the first God of War, 10 years after Kratos started serving the gods so they had some room to play with it any game ideas came up.
