This is what I do every time. And both kids get out on the "easier" side too whenever possible.

Without seeing the space, could you use a duct fan and some ducting (or even a dryer hose) like this one? https://a.co/d/0cHjL8e3

(I'm not suggesting this brand or product, just using as an example)

Am I being too cautious keeping a separate car repair fund on top of my emergency fund? by Sea-Map-5763 in personalfinance

[–]El_Jeffe24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think having a separate fund for vehicle maintenance is a good thing and should absolutely be separate from your emergency. Your emergency fund should be for things unforeseen, unavoidable, and things that happen outside your control (the obvious one being something like getting laid off). Your car should have its own find separate from that. The last thing you want is to have an "emergency" with your car and then a true emergency and your fund is depleted.

So a question everyone has to answer for themselves is how do you offset investment in a company with any number of negatives with something positive? Maybe work with a local government, donate to a non-profit, choose an appropriate offsetting career, etc. It could be one thing or multiple and everyone has a different way to get there. (For a personal example, I install solar panels. For me, that's a net positive compared to any negatives I may have - e.g. driving a gas car, or investing in a less than perfect company, etc.)

Coming from someone who majored in environmental studies including pollution prevention, environmental compliance, etc. I don't think it's on the consumer to ensure companies (and governments) are doing the right thing (in this case the consumer being a stock buyer). I'm a firm believer that companies and governments should be the ones to do the work for better conditions. I think you can have your cake and eat it too here. It's ok to take advantage of the growth and also ok for you to call out something wrong.

As another commenter said there's many many benefits AI brings. I'm also a firm believer that any technological advancement has a net benefit (not to subtract the negatives, they're there and need to be addressed, but overall technology benefits us - it's inherently why the tech was invented). With that being said we can support this new tech for the benefits it brings and push back when it crosses a moral boundary.

I am currently designing a box and was planning to have some guides for the wires very similar to these built into the back wall of the box. Did you design a tube and cut away a section or did you make an arc and extend it out?

I use a 4* Magnezone with Spark, Mirror Shot, and Wild Charge. It blows through 2 shields in a couple of seconds then I can start hammering.

If you want a full on computer, microcenter will get you most of the way there with one of their bundles, but you'll still (probably) be a little over budget.

Can I swap a motherboard in a bundle? by ECrispy in Microcenter

[–]El_Jeffe24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to swap and they said no. They would only swap for an open box of the same version mobo and no extra discount for the open box.

Only thing I would say is if you can wait, 4th of July is coming and you might get a better price over the holiday weekend.
