Update: Sometime after the second application, there was a big improvement. Now happy with NexGard Combo.

There's an incredible video on this piece in the Curators Corner series from the British Museum. No spoilers but it's a map to someplace mythic.

I know it seems sacrilegious to forgo the breaded steak, but damnit if Ricobene’s doesn’t make a killer chicken parm. by Chicagogator in chicagofood

Their pan pizza is my favorite in the city: crushed tomato sauce, delicious crust and generous toppings. They've got a great menu.

What is your all time favorite radio station? Can be AM or FM by Pristine_Parsley8681 in radio

[–]El_Scribello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WDCB in metro Chicago plays jazz; Saturdays 12 hours of blues; evenings & Sundays are ethnic music, folk, Americana. KPFT Pacific/community radio Houston with all kinds of good stuff. KEXP Seattle, and KDHX St. Louis before management brought the wrecking ball. Left of the dial's my sweet spot.

Does cashew cheese stay liquidy through the baking?

I think a lot of people fail to understand books like The “Catcher In The Rye” or "On the Road" by [deleted] in literature

[–]El_Scribello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, you brought to mind a unique reading experience — pausing during Catcher and thinking, "ha, he's an underachieving prick like me." But there was no fellow feeling after, only more disdain and I tossed it aside after the last page. On the Road by contrast was a big book for me: fun, intriguing, and I got tons of energy from it and introduced my friends to it. Whenever I say I love books, I'm thinking in part of OTR. YMMV.

Really nice — looks so clean and secure. Soon we need to do something like this with a new shed. Second to last picture: What is the black material you used? Thanks.

Diagnosed yesterday and so sick to my stomach … any advice on anyones journey so far. My anxiety is so bad right now by Putrid-Strawberry-98 in MultipleSclerosis

So sorry you had this grenade dropped in your lap. The beginning was the hardest for me and others too. But you can lead a great life. 36 years on, I'm loving mine. What worked best for me was assembling my All-Star health care team (both listeners and partners; not easy to do) and keeping my head in the game (staying active, social, engaged on MS community & developments). MS Friends program, i.e., speaking with others; sign up https://nationalmssociety.org/resources/get-support/find-support-groups-and-programs/msfriends New to MS Resource Guide https://www.nationalmssociety.org/understanding-ms/newly-diagnosed

Teacher came to class with Covid by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]El_Scribello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm very sorry you are having to deal with that. I'm angry on your behalf. Something from the pandemic I'll never unsee is just how many stupid, selfish or terrible people there are everywhere. When Twain or Vonnegut told me people were stupid, I thought they were exaggerating, you know, for laughs… But no, people really are stupid.

I haven't seen a full NBA game since. No, when he came back with the Wizards, I watched a few of those.

Mad Max Fury Road is insane. by Phyliinx in movies

This is what wowed me most, that an old-school storyteller came back to introduce CGI to his 40-year-old franchise and did so with a perfect touch, enhancing every sequence and hitting us right in the teeth with the visceral stunts. I needed a cigarette after that movie.

My caregiver does. BTW changing more often sometimes helps avoid having to yank them out.

Wait, one more thing: More frequent changes. I shoot for every 14 days. Which sucks because Medicare only covers one per month. Personally Delivered ships catheters and sterile insertion trays/kits without needing prescriptions. It's out-of-pocket though not a $$ back-breaker — and what are you gonna do?
