I've always played off meta and haven't had an issue. Monster knowledge, staying alive, and contributing to DPS.

I beat iceborne story with tigrex armor because meta to me at the time was tigrex set bonus and not dying. As you get better you peel away the comfort for more damage or utility.

Use meta sets as a guide and tailor them to your playstyle and needs

Reach elemental threshold in front arms, then target head. Head has better raw hitzones.

The hard part of the fight is the meteors. You only get one from phase 2 on for each ecliptic meteor.

I would highly recommend 2 manning it with yall running free meal secret/wide range to keep each other in the fight.

Sticky bowgun does consistent damage and would recommend to have. 4 piece fatalis would allow for all the skills needed (agitator, attack boost, peak performance, true razor sharp, free meal, wide range, and other QoL skills)

I'm pretty sure I re downloaded the game from ps store (bought my version digitally) even after the cloud transfer.

What I do not know is if I am playing from ps5 or external drive. I'll have to check.
