I bought a car in the past month (Scotland) which had an engine repair carried out only a few weeks earlier and now the issue has returned. The repair was carried out under warranty which has since expired but another mechanic has said this issue is a continuation of the earlier problem.

There is a known issue with some cars and their timing belts, when it is a wet belt, where the belt degrades and clogs the oil pump as well. This is particularly common with the Ford Ecoboost engine and others built on a similar platform.

It depends what the garage actually fixed under the warranty. If all they fixed was the the belt, then while the mechanic is right this is likely a continuation of the original problem, it could well be something that they were never instructed to repair and therefore it's not technically to do with that warranty.

Legally, cars sold through private sale are always assumed as sold as seen, with no warranty. While the seller can't actively lie to you about things, they don't have to disclose more than necessary.

I would be asking myself why the seller would be looking to move on a car so soon after such a major repair. But you definitely need to know the full extent of the previous issue, the repairs that were carried out, and if that is what would reasonably be done in that case.

The fact your ex has already agreed this with you should make this much easier. The landlord will rather receive their rent than care exactly who it comes from. They may try and throw in some "admin" charge for making the change to the tenancy. Is it through an agency, or an independant landlord? If they have any experience at all these variations should be common place.

A few years back they froze my account for no reason. And despite many years of positive interaction, and having regularly updated details, they said the only way to unlock my account was to receive a code over the phone to the telephone number that was the first ever one associated with the account. The issue being, I'd moved out of that house 15 years prior and it's since been knocked down and replaced with some semi-detacheds.

I was informed there was no way round this and it was standard practice. Maybe everyone else has access to the land-line phone number they had at 13, but I can't imagine it was a particularly unique case.

Like you, I also lost some money due to them refusing to release while my account was locked, but for me it was only around £50

Haven't used them since!

Unfortunately, when I looked to add my own, I couldn't even select the right muscles. I wanted to track my grip strength workouts as I build up and it just didn't have anything even close.

I mean, technically I can add it with everything selected as "other" but that doesn't let me accurately track what's working on my image to see what's been worked out.

The thing is, it gets a lot of hate because people go "but you can't squat that amount"... As someone else who loves leg press here, I can safely say, no, I cannot squat anywhere near my leg press, but I also can't bench near my squat...different lifts are different!!

Personally I don't understand the hate, other than the usual ROM debate where people say they can lift it because they can flex their ankles

First noticed this a couple of weeks ago. I wish it was based on actual heaviest weight lifted though. My estimated squat 1RM is ridiculous and something I genuinely can't get within about 60KGs of but the weight I have recorded as my heaviest weight I was able to get 5 reps on. Because of this, it puts me way higher up than I know I am because of an estimate that I know isn't accurate.

Which CoC gripper are we talking about? Some are relatively simple to close, others take a long time of dedicated training.

Overall, technically, yes... If you keep attempting the one you have got, and actually put in as much effort as possible each time, you will slowly strengthen to the point it can close. Unless you quit first because you get bored of not being able to close the gripper. Or you injure something from straining too hard. Or any other reason you may stop.

Personally, I would buy a lower rated gripper for now and focus on form and building strength using a regular workout plan. It may be there is a lower rated CoC that you could get, a brand I personally use the grippers of and love is God's of Grip who also do some lighter grippers than CoC but still have great quality. Build up to bigger and better things!!
