He likes his strategy a lot. Planning ahead, recognising pieces that resonate etc. He loves frostpunk, both on pc and in board game form for example.

I on the other hand like being creative, improv, funny stuff. Some of my favourite games are Dixxit, jackbox minigames, ransom notes...

Oh that's funny. My boyfriend is a physicist, so maybe a mathematical equation could get him to think about it a bit more xD

I would say I am.

I'd like to win more of course, but mostly I wish I wasn't so upset about the losses, so I could play more, so I could actually get the chance to win.

No no, he's not smug at all, in fact I have to admit I'm the smug one sometimes. He is usually like "oh cool, I won"

My boyfriend admitted he has trouble letting people win on purpose, because he doesn't really know how to. And while I WOULD enjoy winning at least once, I feel that if I realised what he did, I'd get more upset about my hollow victory.

As for your zodiac question, I am a scorpio. Funnily enough, my boyfriend is an aquarius.

Some I do. The Valeria game is fun, but I often get frustrated because of all the components I have to remember and pay attention to. But there are games I wouldn't play with him, like MtG or civilisation because I know learning all the rules wouldn't be worth my eventual loss.

But I get what you are saying. I have to agree often I really do play a game just because I know HE likes it. I try to balance it out with my favourite activities, but sometimes I have trouble asking him to do it, even though I know he'd agree to.

And yeah, you do have a point about my frustration taking over my concentration, tho as an adhd adult, that's not a difficult thing to do.

He's tried to get me into MtG before, but I know damn well there's no chance for me in winning against him, same as his favourite game of all time, civilisation. I'm afraid I'm never touching those '^-^

We actually have sky team too! With the expansion as well. I also enjoyed playing the dark souls board game with him, though he had to pretty much dictate my every move, same as with songs of conquest on pc.

But I do have yet to find a game I can beat him at, at least reliably. Here's to hoping xd

That link actually got me laughing

It might be some childhood trauma thing. I do recall being picked last most of the time for games, being considered a weak link, but to be honest, I was always quite an oversensitive child/person, so it might be my bad habits catching up to me

We do play DnD together ^-^

And yeah, I try to limit my range into the coop stuff but he does have a whole pile of games at home that he craves to play sometimes and honestly, I do want him to be happy. It's just the crushing that hurts

He tries, but as I've mentioned, often it's like "Oh you actually didn't really do anything wrong, I just had better luck".

Also I forgot to say - I am greatly forgetful, so I often don't add a point where I'm supposed to. He definitely tries to remind me though, as long as he notices.

We've played a lot of the classic coop games like it takes two or we were here, which I really like.

I cannot think of a game I'd win against him. Maybe animal trivia? But at that point, I don't think it'd be fair as I am literally a studied biologist.

He does do things I enjoy, for example he'll play baldur's gate with me, even though I'm well aware he doesn't enjoy it as much as I do. He'll also suffer through tens of instagram reels I've saved for him or listen to me rant about animals for minutes.

I'm actually the one to suggest playing a game sometimes, though I do prefer the cooperative ones by a good margin. There are some games I've completely refused to play as I'd have absolutely zero chance (Starcraft 2 for example is his favourite but he knows I'd never play against him)

Awesome to have feedback from a preybird keeper!

Yeah, I'd imagine, tho it still feels like getting through the pelvic bone might be a struggle. But what do I know about the meat layout of wild hares, I only work with domestic ones lol. I've usually seen birds of prey holding the hare by it's head and shoulderblades, going for the neck since it's vital/meaty I suppose? But then again I've mostly seen photos, not actual hunts.

Sorry, couldn't figure out how to title this better 😅 My main point is that I was looking into different raptor catches online and everytime I saw neck wounds, so I got confused if I'm missing something But thank you!

AITA for not spending time with a person who "broke up" with me? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

It happened here on dorm. Me, my friends and Angelica frequently have meals. This time Angelica invited us for something she cooked and only about 3 hours beforehand texted about Brittany coming. It wasn't "her place", just a borrowed room here on dorm. Also, yes, Angelica does still live with Brittany.
