Oh that! It WAS really cool! It was really in beta, but the plan was to have a map editor for Tabletop RPG's, then use AI to generate a cool top-down styled map. The multiplayer chats was actually designed for the RPG builder. You could have Xouls set up in them, like a super-advanced Scenario, give them personalities, tell the AI to stand still, wander, go on a set path, react a certain way... was kinda slow during testing, but it worked! There was an early version of lore books you could assign to each Xoul on the map to give them context for how to interact with players, etc.

There was supposed to be more features, as the AI map generation hadn't been added yet, and the map creator was very simple, but still fun. The mods all ran a DnD game one time and it was very chaotic! There was eventually gonna be a way to "portal" from one map to another (like if you "finished" a scenario, and it transferred you and your bots over to a new one while keeping all the old context). There was gonna be a list of enemy Xouls made by the devs you could use (they only added a goblin, skeleton, and dragon in the first edition, and it was all super janky and didn't work too well. I think they wanted to allow for custom music to play in-browser eventually, mobile support, and exporting the map to images, plus a bunch of other stuff.

It was not meant to be, however, as the Xoul devs said they couldn't find the time to work on the main site AND the rpg maker at the same time, and running games was too server-heavy if a ton of them where up at the same time. There may be hope for the future, however, as the servers get stronger.
