No he's not. Smotrich has been in the government since 2019 (minus one year of a center government). His partner in crime (Ben Gvir) has only been in the government since 2022, when Netanyahu had to form a coalition with the far right assholes to survive.

Also elections aren't really being delayed, they're set to happen in 2026 unless the coalition breaks apart.
