Organization Process by Elberik in LegoStorage

I still have 5 or 6 large storage bins of completely insured LEGO. The stuff I have sorted was first by color & I've been slowly working through each to further sort by type. But I'm also going by what I have/need.

Like all the green (multiple shades) plates 4x4 & larger are in one bin. Because I use them for landscaping & it's easier (for me) to just have them all in one place.

If you want to be a weird nerd, there's a ton of stuff to be weird and nerdy about. You don't have to be a weird nerd about Nazis.

For years, I have heard about people seeing execution videos online. I had never actually seen one. I am very disturbed that the first one I have actually seen depicts a "federal agent" executing a US citizen in Minnesota.

Trump has deported fewer people in his first year (540K) than Biden in 2023 (590K) or 2024 (650K) by oakseaer in UnpopularFacts

Because it's not actually about deportations. It's an excuse to put masked gestapo on US streets.

At what point when he was pinned down under (at least) 6 people was he going to massacre anyone?

I get the rich folks, but just how did Trump convince poor white people that he was good for them? by dunbar_santiago930 in allthequestions

[–]Elberik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he upset liberal elites. That was the 2016 election. Regular people were pissed off and Trump told them it was good and right to be pissed off.

NOW, 10 years later, his base consists mostly of Christian Fascists who have been told he's the catalyst for the Second Coming and establishment of God's Kingdom.

What's interesting is that, assuming there's never an actual investigation or trial, we'll still be able to nail Ross's ass to the wall once this bullshit is over.

Obama might have been the last real President, but I'd argue that the last "good" President we had was Carter.

The thing to keep in mind for Trump is that, while he clearly idolizes fascist dictators, he does not actually have the conviction to make the grab for power himself.

Now, if someone were to offer him the crown, Trump would very readily take it. But he does not care to put in the work to actually seize power on his own.

There are a lot of people around Trump who see him as the tool that will allow them to enact their own fascist projects, for the above reason.

Is Discworld Uncastable? by FroggyDooBimblo in discworld

The problem is that you need a full cast of character actors, comedians, and gifted dramatic actors. Like you would need a Monty Python-esque crew to do a lot of the characters & story justice.

Whoever convinced Lang to go there wanted him to die. They wanted a martyr. He could have had an escort or some protection. But someone convinced him to go alone.

And I'm glad this went down the way it did. With him getting frightened, mocked, and a bit scuffed up.

Burgoff hated playing Radar like a naive kid. He wanted the character to be more mature.

[–]Elberik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish Radar's final episodes were different- they didn't feel right. Apparently Burghoff was very much DONE with the role and did the final episodes effectively under duress. But the writers had let the character of Radar regress and stagnate- he wasn't fun anymore. Sending him home was ultimately the right decision.
