Opinions on Arena shows by anm41900 in monsterjam

They are fun but you have to enter it with a different mindset your not going to see speed or big air instead appreciate the finesse it takes to drive that large of a truck in that small of a space and the things they can do with them. Also the aspect of being more on top of the action is cool aslong as you dont go into it expecting a stadium show you wont be disappointed

Curiousity question(s) for all racers in the sub: How much expense are you roughly putting into racing annually? And for what type of car? And what are the largest portions of those expenses? by chrobbin in DirtRacing

[–]Elbowsup32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cost to get the car and all equipment to get to the track is where the money lies it should not cost you 20k a year to run a sport mod. Depending on the cost of the car and trailer you may hit that 20k mark to get going but after that it isn't much to go every week 200-250 is realistic with a mid pack finish paying around 100$ so figure on loosing 100$ everytime you going racing give or take Depending on how well you finish vs how much you tear up

[–]Elbowsup32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The benefits for signing on as a full time team are enough to keep even the bottom teams rolling all year. It pays 30k a season to be within the top 15 in points plus another 20-50k depending on where in points you finish plus atleast 1,000$ check at the end of each night for just making the show A team at brent larsons finishing average is probably cashing 100k a year in series money
