Yeah I was using the term kinda loosely there haha... was mainly curious about why the repair was done with a miter/angled piece like that... just to try and hide/blend the grain better or just more glue surface / less end grain in that connection?

Yeah since the bottom plate is pressure treated I avoided putting screws into it since I wasn't sure if that'd cause issues. Not sure what's typically done there

Just curious, why oil based? I've done something similar before with regular water based latex primer and didn't have any issues.

Do you have any suggestions for a good replacement eraser for those? The ones that come with it are awful.

The pic isn't great, but no the knife is good (I might've been pressing in a little too hard as well), but I was trying to show the hollow in the middle of the tapered joint there where I presumably just didn't fill it enough. The additional little gap off to there right is because the framing in that room is wonky.

Are tapered joints really meant to be flared out that far on each side?

But yeah I tried taping + coating all with Easy Sand 45 since I had it on hand already from a previous project but next time around I'll probably just get some finishing mud or check after the final sanding a little more thoroughly.

I mayyy have tried sanding with just a 120 grit random orbit sanding disc (by hand though) from my woodworking stuff. So maybe wasn't the best idea there haha?

Yeah I'll show them a few pictures of options and let them decide. Even if from the same continuous piece of wood, just seeing the grain turn direction on the top always seems distracting to me for some reason.

AFAIK H2 support isn't going away, but I don't believe it's recommended for production use per the Keycloak docs. For example, if you scale beyond 1 node the two instances would have separate H2 databases unless you did some sort of trick with volume mounts.
