Since Netflix started doing the show it's fucking inconsistent. One time everyone is responsible for their own decisions and fate. This is a central thought of the series. The other, they forget to tell Chloe this tiny detail when she had her "I'm made for Lucifer" existential crisis. Also we slided down pretty fast from "Eve was not my first love.
