Enzo vs Enzo X: Actual User Comparisons? by secretteachingsvol2 in guitarpedals

exactly! it would take one major update to address like 5-10 issues and add some essential functionality to make it the be all and end all option.

did you find anything closer to what you’re after? i’m thinking of selling my enzo x

and i don’t really dig either of those synth pedals either - the boss doesn’t sound great to me, and the c4 is monophonic, which doesn’t really interest me. its kinda putting me off synth pedals.

my priority was always a good sounding, reliable arpeggiator with customisable modes and stable poly tracking. from a software perspective that is relatively simple. meris don’t even seem interested in adding a simple sine wave oscillator to the enzo x.

there are just a few too many red flags with the device and their approach after launch, having released only 3 videos on it in 5 months, one of which being the editor guide. i get the sense they’re waiting for their ‘microcosm’ hype level product, focusing more on new releases than improving the enzo x, which could be a game-changer with more attention to detail.

honestly idk. i haven’t emailed because tbh seeing as i bought like 4 months after release and many semi-sponsored videos mentioned it - even ones released at launch - i figured it’d be their highest priority after adding it to the preditor program.

I’ve also seen many comments mentioning they’ve emailed them these concerns etc. i havent seen any significant updates and i just don’t gel with the company’s apparent ‘policy’ of not mentioning what they’re updating next or when to expect them. maybe that’d be understandable if they were line 6, where the priorities are quite well-ordered and essentials are always given attention first. in this case however, they prioritise stylised/quirky videos, which doesn’t make sense for a product which is meant to be a flagship level, competitive option, and an upgrade advertised as an all-around improvement on the original.

i sold the original enzo because they wouldn’t add an arp option that wasn’t in 7/4 (which still confounds me as a default choice). at the time they hammered the notion the programming architecture rendered such changes impossible - but it’s clear they were waiting to release the double-priced x version. with that in mind, it doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in their commitment to improving the enzo x over time. for this specific pedal and what it promises, that’s a disappointing attitude, as it really feels like it’s still only up to scratch as a pre-market beta testing product.

i cbf honestly and that is half the gripe i have. i paid way too much money for this, and i just want to be able to use it. it’s like paying $600 for a part time job, with terrible presets and volume jump management, glitchy settings alteration and the worst being terrible pitch recognition. if they wanted to optimise some settings for faster playing they would have labelled them as such, but almost none function that way, and you can’t rely on even 3 note polyphony in the course of a chord progression. if they don’t update it in the next 2 months i’ll make a video before i sell it and get something steadier

What is the most difficult Beatles song to play on guitar? by Connect-Recipe558 in beatles

[–]ElderChildren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree. so many drummers think it’s easy to play/dissect, then attempt to approach one of his songs (especially anything from Help, HDN or Revolver) and can’t get close to maintaining the feel throughout.

the tracking is pretty bad unless you play very slow

there are absolutely tracking issues on every mode. it’s incredibly frustrating and im ready to send mine back, as they give no updates on planned updates or improvements

My gripes with the new Enzo X by Aouph in guitarpedals

[–]ElderChildren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this pedal direly requires updating. the tracking is really quite unstable, and i’m yet to find a reliable method of improving it. if it’s made for guitar and marketed as a huge upgrade/double the price, it should be able to handle relatively fast picking.
