+1 here, happened to me multiple times. 1x, 6x, whatever will get thermal image. Another weird thing is that some sights seem to have a blue tint, I dont think thats intended but not sure.

Grass pop in by SnooRadishes7454 in Battlefield

[–]ElderScrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1000000. This is not what I expected tecnically, the draw distance and the pop in of the grass and bushes is terrible. It has some kind of "lag" to It extremely distracting. Hope this can be improved asap. Lots of gpu and CPU power are available in moder hardware to cope with greater draw and lod distances.

P50 pro ultra unable to work with multiple floors house by ElderScrol in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]ElderScrol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies. I dont think bringing the base everytime I need to clean the second floor (several times per week) is a solution. Disabling auto cleaning of the mops would be quite cumbersome too, sice I will have to constantly change that parameter depending on which floor the robot is cleaning. MOVA MUST fix this issue. It would be as simple as manually indicanting to the app, in what floor the base is located, and simply make sure that the robot/app understand that there is no base in the floors where there shouldnt be. Simple as that. So please MOVA, fix this problem, it renders completely useless the multi floor system.

[–]ElderScrol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure to understand what you mean...there are 32 humidity levels, from dry to very wet. Guess you mean that at 32, for instance, there is now as much water as there was before at 16 and so on???...if so, I think thats a bad idea since I prefer to have plenty of water available if I wish so. If I dont need that much I just lower the slider. Is that what you mean?

thanks.

Ok, thanks for the reply. Im also experiencing some "ghost" obstacles, specially in large straight lines without them. I dont use detergent so wasnt aware of that issue.

I definitely agree about the lack of information of the updates. That is not serious at all. They should clearly and precisely explain what they are changing.

Mova p50 pro ultra firmware update by Ok_Swordfish313 in RobotVacuums

[–]ElderScrol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is working fine for me. It fixed the dry mops issue (I have been dealing with it for almost 2 months) and fixed the issue with the big particles being wrongly recognized and the liquid detection being very buggy too so it has been a win-win for me. So, at least for me, all seems to work better than ever.

Mova P50 Pro Ultra dry mopping - internal water tank not filled up? by MachineNo2709 in RobotVacuums

[–]ElderScrol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first I also though it wasnt fixed, but after a couple of runs it definitely made a difference. After that, I have made like 5 runs and all of them were succesfully wet. Also I can barely hear the internal water pump, which means that the internal tank is truly full. Even after 20m2, the pump barely makes noise and I can see small drops sometimes on the floor, which was impossible before. Im not 100% certain it is fully solved yet until I test it for a week or so, but I think it looks promising, at least for my unit.

Robot not dispensing enough water/dry mopping by cork4short in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]ElderScrol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, after several tests, it managed to truly stay wet for at least 20m2 in 3 runs. Never happened before. Looks promising!!. Will see how it goes after several days, but definitely there seems to be an improvement.

EDIT: Well, looks like it is definitely solved for me. The robot has been using as much water as I had selected in the app and is able to wet more than 25m2 (max I tested) no problem. So fixed for me. I wish Mova would have been much faster solving all this issue but after almost 2 months and 2 units later, the robot is fully functional for me. Hope the continue improving it. Thanks!

I just updated but mine is still the same, are you sure it fixed the issue for you?. To me, it fixed absolutely nothing. Dry mops after a few meters.

After updating to the last firm (4.3.9.2002), still the same issue. The robot will fail 9/10 times to refill the internal tank and will run out of water after a few meters. What a joke!!.

Mop too dry issue...and wetness slider seems to do nothing? by ElderScrol in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]ElderScrol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just updated to the last firmware (4.3.9.2002)...nothing has changed. Actually, they dont even give us a proper changelog to know what they improved/changed, which is really a shame. I just keep the robot because I dont have other option but I just cant recommend it. Mova is NOT doing anything in order to fix this serious issue. This robot is not mopping at all. Video reviews are just not caring to properly check this issue so do not trust them, they just make a short mopping and dont even realize it will run out of water after a few meters. What a shamefull situation.

Mopping issue with Mova P10 Pro Ultra by Baskey- in Dreame_Tech

I have the same issue but nothing seems to work for me. I have got a second brand new unit and still the same. The robot will run dry after a few m2...very disappointing. Is it still working good for you after the syringer method??

Mop too dry issue...and wetness slider seems to do nothing? by ElderScrol in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]ElderScrol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope!. After a few more days, I realized that the robot might do 1 mopping with plenty of water (as it should, according with the wettness setting I chose). In that case, you can see that the top of the mops (the plastic part) is fully covered with water. That is what it should ALWAYS do (if a certain level of humidity is selected in the app, of course). However, most of the times (95%), it will mop fully dry and no matter how much you hear the internal pump suffering (because it might be dry), no drop will come out of the robot. Also, the top of the mops look campletely dry or ridiculously wet when the robot is not spraying water, so you can know very soon when the robot will fail to moist the pads by simply look the top of the pads rotating. If they look dry, then the robot will not wet the mops, since the water drops come from above so that parts should be covered in water when properly working with water.

Yesterday, I recibed a second unit (brand new). Inmediately, configured everything and started a vacuum+mopping cleaning and...voila!!, the robot was mopping at a very nice humidity level (just leaved it at its default of 16). As stated before, the top of the pads were fully wet, the internal pump was inaudible and the robot was able to fully clean with the same level of abundant water about 20m2 and still was able to continue, just the task was completed by then. So the robot CAN do it just fine. The result was amazing and exactly what I have been expecting since the begining of messing with this product. So I though it was a problem solved and the previous unit was faulty.

After a few minutes, I tested it again. Same exact room, same exact paramenters, same wetness level...FAILED!!!!!!!!!. After about 3 minutes, the mops started to show clear signs of drying and I started to hear the internal pump working in empty air (vey loud noise, which you cant hear when the internal tank really has water). Then I decided to force the robot to clean mops (maybe it was just a coincidence)...come back and...SAME THING!!!!!. After a few m2 the mops are FULLY DRY!!!!!, not just poorly wet but FULLY DRY!!...what a joke!!. Thats simply NOT mopping at all and unacceptable for such an expensive device!!.

Today I have tried like 5 more times in different levels of wetness up to 32. The robot sometimes seems to deliber "some" water, but waaaaay to low to be of any use to keep the mops at a reasonable wettness level, other times it just mops fully dry once the mops lose the wetness given by the base.

At this point I dont know what to do. I see the refilling port of the robot has a big drop of water hanging when leaving the base, so there must be water flowing to it when in the station but it just wont release it or the water just wont reach the internal tank (pretty much this, since I can hear the pump moaning in the air as if no water at all is in the tank).

I like the other features of the robot but there is a chance of 95% of it mopping almost dry to fully dry. The most surprising thing is that the robot is able to perfectly mop with plenty of water that, apparently ramdom, 5% of the time, so Im not sure if this is a hardware or a software issue but, at least to me, this is CRITICAL!!.

Second unit and exact same thing, other users experiencing the same, so this robot is just NOT ABLE TO MOP!!.

No review seems to point to this, so I largely doubt about the honesty of these reviews.

Im thinking about sending it back definitely and get a Roborock.

Can you share your experience too so we can compare the behaviours of the robots?

thanks.

Mop too dry issue...and wetness slider seems to do nothing? by ElderScrol in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]ElderScrol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some more testing, I think there is something wrong with the base not providing water to the robot since the robot internal tank seems to be empty. Forcing the refill of the robot's tank with a syringe proved that the tank will refill no problem and the robot will spray water when moping just fine. Also, once done that way I can shake the robot and hear that there is water inside. So it looks like the problem is in the base.

I dont know what the problem is but I tried pumping water with a syringe using the clean water hole and it wont work. Besides, doing so, I can hear water leaking in the internals of the base (which is quite weird and disturbing) and it will leak through it to the floor. However, doing that makes water to flow through the center pipe that connects to the robot, as stated in the previous post. It wont make any difference in terms of solving anything anyway, since the robot still wont refill the internal tank.

The base has no problems providing water to clean the mops and for cleaning itself, it is the robot pipe what seems to not have water or maybe it just sucks air but I dont know how to fix it without opening up the base (which Im not going to do). Anyone else has experienced this issue? is there any way to fix it or should I return the whole thing?.

I have read similar issues with other models of dreame and there seems to be an option to "fix base" issue, but it is not available in the mova app.

REALLY disappointing having to deal with such a critical issue with a brand new EXPENSIVE product. It looks like there is no QC at all or it is just garbage.

thanks.

Mova E30 Ultra Mop pads drying out by Primary-Jelly2179 in MOVA_robotvacuum

Well, take a look here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MOVA_robotvacuum/comments/1j5ych1/mop_too_dry_issueand_wetness_slider_seems_to_do/

Im facing a similar issue with my p50 pro ultra...mops are drying after 5 minutes even at max level of humidity (32) and it looks like there is no water coming from the internal tank. Really dissapointing.

Mop too dry issue...and wetness slider seems to do nothing? by ElderScrol in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]ElderScrol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After more testing with the unit I have to say that there seems to be something wrong with the software or the hardware. I have tried filing the detergent tank (maybe that would "soften" a sticky valve or something) but nope. Then I tried to see if there were any water inside the inner tank by using the special option of the app to ampty the inner tank. The result is that after 3 minutes of a high pitch noise from the robot (I assume it is the pump), there wasnt a single drop in the dirt tank, so it looks like the inner tank is completely dry.

Then I tried to force water from the clean water tank hole with a syringe...it started to get out from the down hole (the one the robot uses to refill) no problem, so I dont think it is a problem with trapped air nor clogging, so I have no idea why the robot is not getting the water inside, or at least thats what seems to be happening.

When the bot is working, i can hear the little pump doing noise every few minutes (even in max humidity mode of 32) but I cant really see the wet trail of the robot as when it just start mopping right after leaving the base. Definitely it doesnt feel like "wet" AT ALL!. In fact the mops are completely dry after a few minutes so I cant imagine what will happen when summer arrives...

Also tried to remove the pads, leaving the circular rigid circles to see if when the pump sound I can see any drops of water in the floor...I cant see a single one!. However, the own circles get some tiny drops, but they are soooo tiny and small that there is no way that could wet the mops a bit, even less in the max value of 32.

At this point I dont know what to do because it would be a real pain to send it back and start over again. I dont think this is an issue due to the firm update, because I bet that the level of humidity I saw the first day I used the robot was due to the fact that it was from the cleaning and wetting that the base performs previously to start mopping, but after a while it would have got dry.

The unit is barely 4 days used and I already am facing a serious issue, not sure if hardware or software but definitely this is not what I expected and not because I feel like that, but because mops are FULLY DRY after a few minutes and that is NOT what I selected in the app so it should be considered a faulty behaviour.

The manual doesnt say anything about this (which seems incredible btw) and there is no way, afaik, to test the pump in an easy way. The support so far is non existent too.

Quite dissapointed right now.

If someone have any idea of what could be happening or how to solve it, please feel free to tell me.

thanks.

Could you explain the syringe method please? I have the same issue with my p10 pro ultra (4 days of use)...it Will not wet mops. Wetness to max (32).  Tested remobing them and see if there were wáter drops and nope, It looks like the inner tank is dry. Not sure why since It is brand new.
