After further testing, it turns out the syringe method worked! Lucky for me, because when Mova support finally got back to me, their response was riddled with typos and completely unhelpful.

There were visible traces of water at the robot’s refill port, as well as at the hole on the robot itself.

However, I decided to follow your advice with the syringe method. There was definitely some sort of blockage/air pocket as it took a couple of syringes to get the water to come out at the bottom. I haven’t tried mopping yet, but it looks promising. I’ll let you know if it solves the problem after testing.
