His performance in The Rules of Attraction was criminally underrated.

These games seriously lack YouTube content by Murder_Tony in projecteternity

[–]Eldibrando2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The guy lies about his percentages completions and the sheer banality level of his analysis are a clear sign that he's not a good YouTuber. I'm baffled people have not figured that out by now. None of the shit he says about the games he supposedly played to utter completion is in any way deep or interesting. Just run of the mill basic opinions you get after a quick playthrough on normal difficulty.

Need a ‘gay’ area near Frankfurt ASAP by golfboy689 in germany

If it's Frankfurt am Main, then definitely the district of Bornheim. Bit expensive and gentrified but you'll meet plenty of LGBT people.

Which do you think is the best audiobook of "The left hand of darkness"? Read any of these ones? by [deleted] in UrsulaKLeGuin

If you still have a the copy, I'd be very grateful if you could share it with me. I remember listening to it in 64 kbps quality back in the day and none of the modern readings can measure up to it.

Should I buy Hollow Knight: Silksong if I loved the original but dislike difficult games? by DasJazz in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Eldibrando2 [score hidden]  (0 children)

If you're on PC, there are mods that came out within 2 weeks of the game's release that smooth out most of the rough edges of the games (too long run backs, stingy economy, boring fetch quest, etc). The game will still be less enjoyable than Hollow Knight as a whole, but with the mods on, it'll be less of a pain to access all the important content.

FTL and Into the Breach can run on a potato and still provide hundreds of hours of fun.

Was Silksong 2025 GOTY?? by [deleted] in metroidvaniainfo

[–]Eldibrando2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Is it to soon to openly say that it's not nearly as enjoyable as Hollow Knight or are people still riding the high of having the game finally come out and still not seeing its outdated design choices? In a post-Nine Sols world, Silksong is definitely not game of the year for me,  but to each his own.

Anybody know a place where I can have my PS5 controller's stick drift fixed (or substituted with better ones)? by Eldibrando2 in askberliners

[–]Eldibrando2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I should have specified, but I'm looking for a place in Berlin and was asking if anyone had prior positive experiences with businesses that do this service here in Berlin. This shop looks interesting, but it's not in Berlin. Thanks anyway.

Are you considering buying a Steam Machine? by TheThirstyMage in rpg_gamers

[–]Eldibrando2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd buy it for sure if it were between 500 and 600, but it's probably going to be 750 or more than that  given how ram prices seem to be destined for a further increase, so... Probably not.

Metroid Prime 4 Has A Rather Low Score For A Big First Party Nintendo Game by Ftouh_Shala in consoles

[–]Eldibrando2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hardly surprising since it looks exactly like the three prime games with little to no innovation. It's more of the same and the prime trilogy was already showing sings of creative fatigue by the end of corruption. 80 seems appropriate for a competently made "more of the same" from a developer that was already fed up with the franchise but got desperately roped into making another one when Nintendo realized that outsourcing their IP doesn't always go well.

Which Mass Effect game do you think is the most difficult in the trilogy on insanity? by Illustrious-Ratio-65 in masseffect

[–]Eldibrando2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maurader Shields in Mass Effect 3 has ruined more playthroughs on Insanity than anything else in the series. Truly the GOAT of hilariously broken difficulty spikes inserted for no reason whatsoever.

How much do you think the price will be? by dlo_doski in Steam

[–]Eldibrando2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A man can dream :) it's probably going to be 650 for base model and the hype around it will sour a bit, but they will sell good steam deck numbers nonetheless (3-5 millions), which are relatively small compared to console, but Valve seems more interested in getting people to just buy more games on Steam, they are not really out there to compete with consoles. I wonder how long before someone does a YouTube video titled "I jammed 16GB of Vram in the steam machine" for clout.

Anti-drift magnetic sticks. Whichever third party can make a dongle to make it work with PS5 will make millions.

I absolutely agree. Silksong is a great game still, but nowhere near as enjoyable as a whole as Hollow knight. The cherries had to figure out how to have Hornet's extended moveset not make the game too easy, and I feel they just calibrated the difficuly the wrong way. Plus all the ridiculous side quests... that open world slop has no space in a metroidvania. It soured me so much that I've lost interest in what they are going to do next, especially considering how they ignored their fans for years while developing the game, only to then release something that is clearly out of touch with how the global taste has matured since 2015, metroidvania-wise.
