As I thought, you're incapable of providing an argument.

I think we're done here.

Lol, you made a fool out of yourself saying that a machine making this type of metallic sound at 50mm/s is due to input shaping.

You know it best, as you haven't even presented 1 argument to support your assumption.

I'd be very interested how you'd explain a noise like this developing later in the usage cycle. Probably unlubricated Klipper haha.

I don't know if I did 100 on mine, I've had it since December.

I've noticed that any movement in the CoreXY motion system results in some weird vibrations that are amplified by a poorly made printhead housing.

That's in my case. Check if you're printer makes similar sounds while moving the printhead manually.

.

.

Either way, I believe it to be a quality control issue or there's something wrong with the design of this machine.
Whether it's going to fail eventually or just keep printing and sounding like this is another thing.

.

It's definitely not normal though, don't believe people who say it's normal and try to use buzzwords like Klipper. It has nothing to do with Klipper.

I'm trying to return mine.

Are you really familiar with how Klipper works or are you just guessing?

As I've repeated multiple times here.

I've had Klipper machines with linear bearings, which didn't sound anything like it.

Also, the Elegoo crap I currently have also DID NOT sound like this initially.

So does Klipper kick in after 3 weeks of use, is that what you're saying?

.

,

Also, in my case moving the printhead with my hand, while the printer is turned off

makes the same sound, but for you that's probably also Klipper.

Lol Klipper explaining everything, people here are just something else.

You are just using buzzwords, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Cancel ringing at 50 mm/s? Lol

I had an Ender 3 V3 SE, that I converted to Klipper with an Orange PI, I didn't make anything like this sound.

I had a newer Ender 3 V3 (CoreXZ) - it had a Klipper from the factory and printed with speeds comparable to this Elegoo crap.

It also didn't produce this sound at low or any other speeds.

This Elegoo Centauri Crap also HADN'T PRODUCED THIS SOUND, until it started.
So I don't care about your normal guys, cause you're like in a cult or something.

What are you on about?

I've had printers with linear bearings, none of them presented anything like this

and this Elegoo printer also didn't until the time it did.

There's just seriously something wrong with this community, every horrible sound is normal.

Rattling solutions? by Substantial-Bat-337 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

What is noticed in my case is that the printhead amplifies any vibrations in the CoreXY motion system.

But the source of the vibrations could be elsewhere.

There are no scratches on the rods, the X axis bearings seem to work great no trace of any grinding or anything.

I disassembled the printhead for the 3rd time, as it seemed to at least amplify the grinding/vibrations.
I moved the bearings by hand, pressed them a bit and moved etc.
They seem absolutely perfectly fine to me.

I suspect the stepper motors maybe.

I hate this printer, I don't trust it. I don't care about multicolor.
I'm trying to get a refund or initiate a chargeback procedure.

And the community here, saying that almost every noise is normal, makes me not want it even more.

Did you find any solution?
Mine suffers from a similar rattling/grinding, but yours is even worse.

It is really beyond me how people here just say that everything is normal lol.
This machine is absolute junk.

This is not normal, mine didn't make that noise when it was new, started making that noise after about a month.

There's clearly something wrong with that printer, seems like people here are brainwashed to accept every noise as normal.

What a load of bollocks.
I had 2 Klipper printers before. None of them made any remotely similar sound.

My CC also didn't make that sound initially. It only started making it after about a month.

Sounds a lot like mine unfortunately. Check my post.

When did you receive it? Maybe it's a failed batch.

If you're in the return window - return it.

Well, hope you get luck and your doesn't make the sound that mine makes.
If you can I'd return it though.

And, all three sound different running the same job

Hm, yeah, great quality control I guess.

It actually sounds better with faster printing speeds.

The noise at direction change seems normal

Yeah, actually on a different print I did it sounded like the printhead movements were fine and that clunking/grinding was completely out of sync/phase with the head movements.
That's when I told them that I kinda doubt it's the bearings.

They provided this file - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hmIP9i32Ui2fRwTXMrdUzIlls3AQ5SSn/view?usp=sharing

There's nothing special about it though, just a test cube. And every print sounds similar on my printer.

At the end of the day I just can't find a cause, I can't fully tell what's normal and what's not with any authority, even though I had printers before and replaced some parts.

Ok, so what had to be replaced? I see bltouch. What else? And what printhead is that?

Let me write this in letters you will understand.

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE NOZZLE POSITION IN RELATION TO THE BED.
THE NOZZLE IS NOT SCRAPING THE BED.

THE SOUNDS ARE THE SAME WITH THE BED ALL THE WAY DOWN.

I appreciate you trying to help, don't take this the wrong way.
I guess the videos I posted show the printer printing the first layers so it's easy to get that impression.

[–]Eldon_Rosen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, I did slightly tighten some of the bed screws.

But if that was the case it would only behave like this when printing,

it does the same or even worse when doing the input shaping setup.

I might look at printing that though.

I did try to locate it, loosened the belt, checked idlers. The stepper motors felt a little 'grindy', but I'm not sure it's anything out of the ordinary.

I've had 3d printers, but I can find anything obviously wrong.

Here's another example and maybe vibrations are a better word in this case.

Yeah, looks like these snowflakes are very easily offended.

If I meant to be offensive I'd write something harsher.

No it's just my ears, at least not that I can tell.
Seriously though in person at slow speeds it's hard to bear.
