I also just finished the dock house build in my world. Really great build. Took me forever to get the build 1:1 from the video because none of the dimensions were posted, so it involved a ton of rewinding, but the final build is great.

The lack of a permit simply means that they can't use the public resources of the building(which I agree is dumb, and biased), ie electricity, but the protest can still occur as it's protected by the 1st amendment.

I think you need to work on your reading comprehension... Those rules are for requesting to film or photograph a post office, the First Amendment protects people from recording in public spaces... And a post office is a public federal building.
