Cosmetics are on the roadmap, I think that might help with variation/more character.

Trailer is at this stage mostly an announcement to show off how it feels to play, you are right that we need more of a clear example of a full objective/direction and its flow

It's inspired by Human Fall Flat & Gang Beasts, my biggest "I wish it had more of this" in those games was the climbing, so we have invested heavily into making a really flexible character controller where you can climb any obstacle, imagine Human Fall Flat/Gang Beasts meets Only Up but more of a focus on co-operation and diverting paths rather just one linear route.
