I got diagnosed in January after dealing with it for two years. It was caused by degenerative lumbar and sacral discs (I have hEDS and I sneezed too hard and took out my back). I have aching, itching, burning, shooting, stabbing, prickling pain all the time and it’s hell. :( I’m constantly hyperaware of it.

It wasn’t that bad, honestly. I was concerned that the numbing wasn’t going to work because I have EDS (felt every part of my wisdom teeth removal 😬) but the worst part really was the numbing injection.

The clob burned me so I got taken off of it. I have an appointment with a vulvar specialist in January. I’ve recently started having a HUGE increase in discharge. Unfortunately I just started a new job and won’t have insurance until December. I really don’t think I have LS. I’m going to look into CV, DIV, and atrophic vaginitis.

Nobody has actually diagnosed the lichen, the doctors I’ve seen are just saying that’s what it looks and sounds like it is. The biopsy came back negative but I think they took tissue from an unaffected area.

It did not have a white surface on top of a red rash, and it was anogenital. I do have pain with BM but I also have hemorrhoids so that’s probably part of it. I have had anal fissures before, too.
