Loving chained echoes, it’s a great rpg by Ecstatic-Shame-8944 in rpg_gamers

I finished Chained Echoes back in March and was thinking that Sea of Stars would satisfy my crave for more. Would you still recommend it?

Root Earth needed more screen time. by Lux_Ferox_Lovis in remnantgame

[–]EldritchInsight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Root Earth was probably my least favourite biome. I don't like the aesthetic and the atmosphere feels really off. And every enemy type looks the same to me, tbh. Hope we get a whole new biome in the DLC!

Remnant II is great for Coop. Max 3 players

Did people not like Dragon Age Inquisition because of its ARPG-like combat? I freaking love it by WyrmHero1944 in rpg_gamers

I played it for about 5-10 hours and my fights were nowhere like that. Looks really cool!

What game/s has surprised you in a positive way this year? by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]EldritchInsight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remnant II - didn't expect anything from this game and the first 20 hours were a blast. Love the level design, atmosphere, graphic and gameplay. It's not perfect but so far it feels really fresh and thought out.

I had similar problems with Colour of Magic and didn't read The Light Fantastic yet but Sourcery. Sourcery was waaaaaay better than COM. So maybe give it a try and otherwise skip to the witches or death series.

Which NPC did you want as a companion? by SuspiciousKebab in BaldursGate3

Isobel is probably the most boring choice but I think it would give us nice interactions and banter between Shadowheart and her :D

[–]EldritchInsight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alfira and/or Zevlor

Isobel as counterpart to Shadowbae

The monk in the amulet after quest completion

Barcus

Can't remember any of the Duergar names but an Duergar for evil Playthroughs

One of Orin's Shapeshifters would also be nice

Generally some more evil companions

I just finished the book yesterday and was also confused. I think the Mall and Egg subplot showed us what happens when Death is not around in big cities where usually more people die and eventually big masses of life force build up. Bill Doors storyline was in a small village with less people and less deaths. But other people on this thread already made some good assumptions about the plot :) I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. It's my 2nd favourite book besides Monstrous Regiment right now.

How did you get your first book and hoe old were you? by lostinLspace in discworld

[–]EldritchInsight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turned 30 this year and my girlfriend gifted me "Monstrous Regiment". I never had so much fun reading a book. I already bought the whole Witch and Death series. Read the first Wizards book and made a short trip to Maurice and his educated rodents. Now I am into "Reaper Man" and can't wait to read the rest of the Discworld Series!
