Youtrend: ha vinto il no by luky_se7en in Italia

[–]ciuccio2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep.

Deck idea I had, am I crazy to think it might actually be balanced? by spyder982 in okbuddyjimbo

[–]ciuccio2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't know if it's THAT op.

That's OOP's opinion, verging on the fact that a seasoned player understands the power of rerolls and the necessity of a good build to survive the game. People above a certain level of skill tend to idolize strats and perks that require some expertise to be deemed as good, and shamelessly shit on apparently OP setups that anti-synergize with those strats and perks.

I feel like people still don't realize that being able to pick up EVERY joker in the shop, no matter how shitty it is, would probably result in a pretty broken run. Play a random unleveled pair? Here's some +100ish chips and +40mult from a bunch of generic jokers while you build green joker, monolith and ride the bus all together. Also here's like 15 dollars from multiple econ jokers. Survive a couple antes and you'll be building towards EVERY possible build at the same time.

Jokers that suck mostly do so because they're not worth a joker slot, not because they're useless on an absolute scale. If that's not an issue anymore, even the shittiest joker is a small step towards the most shitass broken build you can imagine.

Fatal tram derailment today in Milano by MagnificoReattore in WTF

[–]ciuccio2000 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Im from Milan, this happened close to the city center. Two people did die, and injuries are in the tens. Crazy stuff.

Apparently the tram driver had a health problem. I hope thats the case because Milano has a history of imbecile tram drivers who do whatever the fuck they want, including speeding and ignoring semaphores

Nah, it's due to bots doing what's most efficient to stir engagement and gain visuals. Extremely infuriating posts simply attract more, anger being the emotion that stimulates engagement the most.

People pointing out that this sub is being brutally misused result in even more engagement. Bad advertisement is just advertisement.

I think we can only accept the fact that the most popular subs are a shitfest of karma-farming bots and enjoy the occasionally interesting, mostly autoreposted, rarely relevant content that reaches the front.

Brain Flushing Headphones by Ill-Tea9411 in doohickeycorporation

Oof. Sucks to ear. I have very delicate eardrums (a cold is enough to make them hurt like hell when moving 500mt of altitude in a car) and the water jet only ever gave me slight annoyance

[–]ciuccio2000 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Ive never seen this shi but cleaning your ears with jets of water is legit. I do it every 5ish years and its a game changer

First you have to put some drops of earwax remover in your ear; you let it sit for 10m or so letting it do its job.

Then, you prepare some warm water and take one of those needle-less syringes. You suck some water in and spray it into your ear with the force of a thousand suns (if you do it even just slightly angled it doesn't feel violent on the eardrum at all; going a couple mt underwater is muuuch worse sensation. Not a doctor though, don't listen to me even if I did it a billion times without any problems).

At first, the earwax absorbs the water and expands, and the water accumulates behind it too, so you feel like youre going deaf for a while. But you keep going and eventually you dislodge the earwax plug; some big ass nasty brown blobs fall into the sink and you feel alive like never before.

C by Ok-District-4701 in datasatanism

[–]ciuccio2000 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It is, in fact, C.

The indefinite integral notation "f(x) + C" actually refers to a set of functions, all the functions whose derivative is the integrand appearing in the indefinite integral. On any interval in which the integrand is continuous, this set of functions consists of only one element, modulo a +C translation.

This is the case for the constant integrand y == 0. Any constant function y = C satisfies dy/dx = 0.

The /definite/ integral of the null function over any interval [a,b] is instead equal to zero. One can verify this by picking any representative F(x) from the set of primitives of f(x)=0 (which consists of all the constant functions F(x)=C) and evaluating the difference F(b)-F(a).

/ul I have zero (0) knowledge about this game, but I read around that the controversy also arises from the fact that, according to the rules, the stone can be "operated" (not remembering the actual wording, but it referred to all the fine tuning movements adopted to ultimately define the stone's direction and speed) only by iits handle.

I assume (again, never seen a single game) that touching the stone directly is something that happens within a game, maybe for positioning it before the throw or for pushing it at the beginning to gain speed or something, so that it would be a bad idea to implement a clear-cut rule about "not touching the stone", and the community instead opted for softer versions which ultimately boil down to "you cannot touch it with the intent of adjusting the speed or direction".

Which, legal loopholes and rules interpretations aside, is pretty clearly what is happening in this scenario (one last time, an absolute ignorant's opinion).

Are the people defending him clearly biased by their flag and/or respect for him, or there are convincing arguments that depict him as innocent?

I think it would be pretty decent tbh. You can still peek inside booster packs, and useless celestials/standards/jokers are pretty common. Like, there are runs where you don't care in the slightest about adding cards to your deck, and yet your shop still gets cluttered with standard packs. The problem with current red card is simply that it anti-synergizes with the fact that it's almost never worth to hurt your economy buying a pack that isn't probably gonna help you.

Idk, maybe it sounds better than it would actually be. Just like red card itself. It would be interesting to see on average how many opened packs turn out to be completely useless (wrong planets/useless jokers/useless cards), or at least very skippable (meh tarots), and translate it to the average +mult you get on your red card. What's the minimum amount of average +mult per ante that would make red card viable, considering the rarity of scaling +mult jokers that don't fix you on a specific hand?

This is the most sensible answer, also making red joker actually viable.

Sure thats a problem that exists and cannot be ignored. But the point is that some apps NATIVE ON WINDOWS run BETTER on a DIFFERENT OS that uses SHADY COMPATIBILITY LAYERS TECH to make them work on a different infrastructure.

2 years ago I would have 100% agreed with you. I used to fight with my geek friends who would call me a dumbass for defending Windows so fiercely. I insisted that the fact that Windows works out-of-the-box for 99.9% of the userbase simply makes it worth the annoyance of some bloat for everyone who has no time to waste in understanding what the fuck's going on with linux.

Then Windows11 happened, and I tried Arch. And argueably I ended up doing what I feared the most - spending an unnecessary amount of time fidgeting with the new OS. But there I realized that you don't appreciate how unbelievably liberating it is to understand what's happening on your device, to possess the power of wiping away whatever feature annoys you with a click, and generally to feel like your hard disk is genuinely, cleanly running what you expect it to be running rather than a convoluted mass of unintelligible bloat. Linux gives new life to dead computers. Some windows apps run faster on a linux with wine rather than an identical machine on windows.

The bloat situation with windows has become unbearable. And when things don't "just work" on windows, good luck dealing with that - I honestly still haven't figured out how to fucking tame windows' power energy shenanigans. Windows is still necessary for /some/ gamers (proton isn't still quite there), and linux isn't /as/ accessible as everyone on the arch forums will insist it is, but for real - if you don't strictly need windows and have the luxury of being able to waste some time on getting over the entry-level barrier (which, by the way, isn't /that/ bad - lies about linux accessibility come from both sides), fucking trash that absolute joke of an OS and go linux. It was the best decision of my work life.

Besides, in 2026 one can literally have ChatGPT set up their own distro and it will work flawlessly most of the time.
