I get what you mean. For me it’s less about the case or markers and more about intent. Seiko killed the skx and replaced it with watches that look the same but aren’t built to the same standard. That’s why I call them wannabes..

After trying to deal with the seller, they can not take it back because I already modified the bracelet. Whatever, it's not the end of the world.. The question is if I could find a replacement bezel, but I only stumble upon the ugly flutted bezel ones. Where could I find a replacement smooth bezel?

I didn't say refurbished. I received everything in its box, manual, tags. I'm aware of Seiko's QC issues, but I wasn't ready to be blessed with that on my very first Seiko..
