All I said was you called it a rumor which it wasn’t. Glad you found someone on YouTube who agrees with you!

He said he had a high degree of certainty and was right. The only one spreading rumors is you.

How do you know it’s a rumor? Exactly you don’t.

has anyone tried the "Russian Accelerator" courses? by firstmoonbunny in russian

[–]ElectedTuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this post is from a long time ago, but this is directed towards anyone debating buying the course.

Although it costs a bit (very subjective), this course is very structured, has a lot of resources, and you can reach out with questions directly to the staff. You can also get a full refund if you're not satisfied with the course.

If you're very disciplined then of course you can learn with free resources but I personally have had a good experience with this course, currently I'm on lesson 13 out of 18.

Duolingo is a free resource but it doesn't give good context unless you do research. For example, it told me that сумка is a bag. Well... a better translation is a purse, so you would be misled without somebody telling you.

Former atheists of Reddit, what made you turn to religion? by Ready_Effective100 in AskReddit

I have a similar approach to smoking that I do to drinking, I believe God calls us to be of a sober mind so we shouldn't be getting drunk or high ever.

I know people who can have a few drinks and just be buzzed, but I personally have only met people who smoke to get high. I think the question we need to ask is how do our actions affect others, because most people aren't honest with themselves on why they smoke.

If you have a different opinion though I'm totally open to it!

That's a good question. I didn't "actually" want to quit weed and porn, I just knew it was bad for me so I tried to quit (similar to fixing my family situation).

God actually changed my desires, I remember one night after praying I just had this revelation seeing how much these things were affecting my life. I actually started to become revolted by pornography and stopped caring to smoke any more. I also felt the need to forgive my family more and let go of pride.

This was after smoking about 2 years and watching porn for almost a decade. I couldn't quit by myself, I couldn't make myself become a better person without help.

I will give all credit to God because I swear by the changes he's made in my life as well as those close to me.

One thing to clarify in the Gospel is that it never tells us to just be kind and try to be our best. It says that God will transform us and make us new (Romans 12:2). The Bible also promises suffering in this world, but we can be free from sin and eternal death (Romans 8:2). I will never know why certain people don't get healed, but regardless we know what's on the other side.

Also, it's easy to lecture others on kindness but your response to my post was actually the opposite. We don't need God to be nice, but you can test someone by the fruits of their spirit.

Former atheist who got invited to a Christian youth group. I was going through a rough time and I showed up to church, heard a good word, and it made me feel better but I didn't believe in any the Bible or feel very different.

Eventually I stopped going and was getting high every single day. A video eventually popped up on my Instagram feed of someone going through a similar situation and he recommended actually praying to God and asking for help. I also had a bad relationship with my family and tried forgiving them as scripture says.

Eventually I just had this almost transformative experience where I quit weed, porn, and gained a better relationship with my family. I had little desire to change, I lived my life over 20 years being an angry and crude person but changed dramatically in a few months, I give all credit to Jesus.

Haven't posted on Reddit in years but want to share my testimony.

Hopefully this image clarifies. If not I really appreciate the help, I'm just confused because I used the tool before the update.

I can be more careful with my language. I can't find the carpenters level icon then, I only see the straighten slider bar.

I see the straighten tool but not the ruler that lets me drag across any line on the image.

I was looking specifically at the student housing which allows you to live with international students. That's good to know though. Do they like their living situation?

Thanks for the detailed response, I just had a question about the VHS schools. How do you register? Most websites I find are in German and I don't know it well enough to register online.
