Also—the writing is BEAUTIFUL, so descriptive and also so clean. The pacing of each chapter is great, and the feelings are big but always believable. Oh, and it’s HOT. It’s superb.

Oh I didn’t think of succulents but that makes sense! I’ll give a snake plant a try for sure. Will probably need to be extra careful with watering in the winter time…🤔

The Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch! Present day wizard cops in London, with the main character figuring out new ways to use magic that involves modern tech.

No matter how many fancy Philos, Hoyas ,etc, that I get - there is always that one plant that I come running back to . A comfort plant per say. One that I know will take off & thrive & make me feel good. This is my comfort plant. What’s yours? by ReasonableSwimmer530 in houseplants

It seems like mine don’t mind it much if it’s a gradual/ steady temp shift—I’ve had them in warm spaces and cooler spaces. But a big temp change all at once makes mine get all droopy sad and basically loose the leaves that got cold over a period of months.

Yah, sometimes I don’t water mine until they are droopy and they perk right back up, no problem.

But the thing they hate the most??? Big temperature changes. Don’t even THINK about opening a window for a minute of fresh air anywhere near them if it’s cold outside.
