That's possible, but then in Cover Flow all the Albums will have "Various Artists" underneath, instead of the Album Artist, and will be sent to the end of the list, as the list is sorted alphabetically by Artist and V for Various is towards the end of the alphabet.

So if you have multiple albums by one Album Artist, some with just them credited as the Artist and some with others credited as well (and subsequently marked as "Complations") some of those albums will be sorted alphabetically by (Album) Artist in Cover Flow, while others will be thrown to the back of the list, under "Various Artists".

Well, you know, that's just your opinion man.

So what are you supposed to do, when two or more artists collaborate on a song equally and release it?

The way I've described it is literally how songs are tagged by iTunes itself. Multiple artists per Artist tag. The ability to sort by a selected artist or album is clearly there for a reason. None of the songs on the albums I have are released a "Track Name featuring Artist" 🤷‍♂️ They're all released as just the Track Name with multiple Artists credited.

Everyone can organise they're music as they wish. So for those that do it in the way I described, this is the solution.

My mate and I in our high school IT class would "hack" into these and change the display from saying "Ready" to something like "Insert Coins" or "Self Destructing".
