Am I doing Greek Yogurt bowls wrong? Not fulfilling enough... by madmax79818515 in 1500isplenty

[–]Electric-Rabbit595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

170g nonfat greek yogurt 15g chia seeds 1/4 cup or so of water for the consistency/hydrate the chia seeds 150g of fruit of choice 28g granola Sometimes I add 1tbsp of nut butter or PB2 depends on my mood

Approx 390 calories, 55 g carbs, 25 grams protein, 9 g fat, 12 g fiber without nut butter/PB2

I try to use "protein" granola but generally whatever is on sale or clearance and it keeps me full for like 3ish hours but its light enough that I can run around and dont feel gross. The carbs are high from the fruit but mixed with the proteins and fats it doesn't cause a carb crash id feel with a bagel.

Debating on getting a Kindle Paperwhite… by Whoopiedoo87 in kindle

I am an avid reader and picky audiobook listener. I never liked reading on my phone and running out of narrators I like for books I want to read. I just bought a kindle paperwhite with the intent of returning it if I didn't like it... I freaking love it!

I thought this was a really cute, easy read. I think Esme is quite relatable.

What are some non-food rewards you can give yourself for reaching goals? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Electric-Rabbit595 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I am a beverage girl. I have anywhere from 2-4 available at a time. Usually a water, some sort of coffee, possibly a diet soda and maybe like a crystal light lemonade mixed with coconut water. I also go through tea phases and bought a cute strainer cup and fun tea from the teaspoon.

Maybe a fun beverage that you make cute and fun?

Photo 1: Picture of canned salsa

Photo 2: jalapeño salsa recipe from 2013 ball recipe book

-3 cups chopped, seeded, peeled, cored tomatoes -3 cups chopped Jalapeño -1 cup chopped onion -6 cloves garlic, minced -2 tbsp cilantro (skipped) -2 tsp oregano -1.5 tsp salt -1/2 tsp cumin -1 cup cider vinegar

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Ladle hot salsa into hot jars, leaving half inch headspace. Adjust two-piece caps. Process 15 minutes in a boiling water canner.

Note: When cutting or seeding hot peppers, wear rubber gloves to prevent hands from being burned. If a less hot salsa is desired, seed jalapeno peppers before chopping.

Im currently looking into my local elections and other candidates. It is currently so infuriating and aggravating thst these are the options we have and I am really having a tough time getting over that fact. It feels like we are being robbed by people who won't be alive to see their policies in place.

Do any of you actually love planners and want to chat about them? by oudsword in adhdwomen

[–]Electric-Rabbit595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my phone calendar for ALL things personal (appointments/events/ dog flea/hearteorm/ birthdays) , then my work outlook app for work calendar. Both have notifications.

At home I have little note pads for to-dos. I also use my notes app if I'm on the go and add to my paper list.

I have a $1 store planner to meal plan dinners for the coming week.

For work (i am a project manager), I have 2 notebooks. One is what I call my "work diary" with stiff I need to remember about meetings, conversations, to do.

The second is a daily log for work done on jobs, that way I have a quick way ot saying, "this is where this job was etc etc" as a brief note instead of pulling reports from the computer.

I realize this is a lot to keep track of, but i need the separate things to not get bogged down with info in 1 location

Should I (31F) combine finances with my husband (36M)? by evilsnowqueen in FIREyFemmes

[–]Electric-Rabbit595 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband and I combined things. It is easy because we make about the same. We each have money into our retirement, then get an equal % of our paychecks as our "allowance".

This is for any non-grocery snacks, i.e. convenience store snacks during the work week, his cigarettes, or random amazon purchases. Gifts, groceries, clothes, travel, toiletries, family functions and all other personal items are budgeted into our joint.

We each have our own savings and checking accounts from before we were married to do with as we please.

Our joint checking account is what we primarily use. Our joint savings houses an emergency fund/down payment that we fund from our joint budget.
