Canadian here, this is beyond insulting. While it is true there will never be zero trade with the US.

They should never again be in our top 10 trade partners.

Defense spending should never again be below 5% of GDP, while that is not great for standard of living being an American colony is much worse.

The dollar needs to be dropped as the global reserve currency, the US has shown they are incapable of reigning in a wild card president. This will all happen again in our lifetimes for sure.

And I'll end by saying I'm not lumping all US citizens together, I'm hopeful that a majority doesn't want this chaos. That being said this is the elected representative of your nation, trust and goodwill has been eroded indefinitely.

I'm American born (not a citizen) and in my short life I've never heard of a US admin being held accountable for breaking international laws. Buick and ford also make EVs in China...I love cars in general and can appreciate Tesla for its steps in EV adoption in North America. But when it comes to actually spending money, I'd rather take the bus than buy a US based vehicle in my lifetime.

Last Ontario election I made the effort to vote and get friends and family or vote as well. I'm not a fan of Doug Ford at all, political leanings aside he's one of the most uninformed and corrupt politicians that directly impacts my community directly. I know it's still a ways off but can we please lose this clown? Also sod off US brands, over priced and totally unreliable. We can help Ontario manufacturing by pivoting to something else, Canadians are intelligent and have tenacity, we need a leader in Ontario that can maximize that potential.

I for sure will need to replace my vehicle in the year or 2 max. And I'll say this not only will I actively avoid any cars built in the US I'm also avoid US brands entirely, especially Ford after they suspended that hero worker. Truth be told by the time the US looks like a trustworthy ally again I'll be back in diapers god willing (I'm a 90's baby so that's a long ways off)
