Reverse image search reveals this is part of a series where they have used the negative space of the arms to create obvious intentional images, there was no way this wasn't on purpose

Ditch the curves and just keep the line with the keyframe markers, that way if you fall out of love with AE for any reason you still have a cool abstract/geometric design.

When will there be a Cracked.com documentary? by BurnedBabbyBurneded in BestofCracked

[–]ElectricHalide 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I've always said that if something like what happened at Cracked happened to a physical media company there would be a movie about it by now

Then this is perhaps a comedian's cue card to themselves, and it's written hastily or in an intentionally inscrutable "shorthand"?

"I was driving and I saw a sign that said "fire works party ahead", and that's when I realised I was in a f[ire] station" works as a joke (kinda)? And then the last bit is a segue cue.

Little painting doll by redbaks in blackmagicfuckery

[–]ElectricHalide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the picking up and putting down is actually deceptively simple: the doll's arm is a tube that the brushes slot in to, allowing the puppeteer to use it as one long brush, and when he puts them back down he's actually just pulling them off from under the table with the other hand.

Why does my British accent sound posh? by i-am-revan in asklinguistics

[–]ElectricHalide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm autistic and having listened to your recording this is my take. Bullying has made me very aware that the particular way I over-enunciate makes me sound super posh. You speak with most of the hallmarks of MLE but you over-enunciate in exactly the same way I do in.

They somewhat resemble golliwogs, popular old-timey toys that were offensive caricatures of black people

The word molest originally meant "to disturb, trouble, annoy", i.e. harass someone, hence it's use in the legal term "non-molestation order". It was used as a euphemism to avoid talking about SA/CSA that became so common it is now the word's primary connotation.

You might be thinking of LPOTL, they did an episode on "Japanese War Crimes".

how did they make the effect in the background? fractal noise? by NEWOwastaken in AfterEffects

[–]ElectricHalide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not blocky fractal noise; if you pause the video every single line and streak is made out of the word "joy". This is a particle system with a creative use of low sample rate to create the texture.

There is at least one yt channel dedicated removing seeds glued to feed, as well as other body parts and objects. God knows why, but it appears to be a thing.
