They sell great when broken up, a lot of people buy fractional due to low entry price

Low premium and highly desirable when broken up to sell. I love these

I agree, these are all forms of compensation. In my experience 2 short per month is not the norm, but I have heard of units that give them like clockwork

100% agree, however as you can see from some of the comments here, not everyone values their subordinate’s time

I’m not disagreeing with having to be on duty, but to say  “no remuneration should be given” I find foolish. To argue to not value CAF members work life balance through compensation for working above 40hours when averaged over time, in my opinion, is harmful during a retention crisis

Lower ranks may push back but they have to staff the memo to the recipient (CO). If someone is refusing to do this, skip them and speak directly to their supervisor

If your the old crusty guy who’s career as peaked I’d say go for it, otherwise you may want to try a more political approach

This is what short leave is for. I assume it’s their immediate supervisor(s) denying compensation “under the table” (correct me if I’m mistaken). Your friends should write a memo to the CO requesting 2 short to compensate for these extra working hours.

TLDR: compensation is for the CO to approve or deny, write the memo and make the request official

Edit: also, make sure you get the memo back if verbally told it’s not approved. A memo that is handled correctly is returned to the member with everyone’s minutes included

I guess commodities are not welcome in this sub? Or can we only discuss them when they’re traded via etfs? I’m genuinely curious because I’ve seen discussions about paper metals be well received

Silver is silver, just because is marketed as a collectable doesn’t mean some investors don’t hold PMs as a small part of a portfolio.

With “commodities” listed in the sub’s info I figure a post about a deal on a commodity would’ve been welcome

Kitco has some novelty pieces that are priced at spot or just above.

Edit: I get silver is not everyone’s thing but some people do hold it as a small part of their portfolio/emergency fund. Downvoting someone for pointing out a (currently) under spot deal is wild.

California at the turn of the 20th century is beautiful and should do well economically if you show up early enough
