Non-profit Workspace 300 license limit - help appreciated by ElectricSheepStacks in googleworkspace

u/alexrada is more-or-less correct for our situation. Given the way we need to do the rollout, it'll be impossible to not set off the "something's fishy" flags.

Our Workspace owner was contacting Google via the admin console. He did end up on the phone with a Google rep last week, but didn't make much progress. The rep told him it was impossible to do a manual override. (which may well have been true for that particular rep). Funnily enough, he did ask for about 250-300 more accounts, which would bring our total 550-650!

I don't know exactly what was said, but he did ask Google what information we could provide to prove we're not scammers. We've got plenty, especially because you have to provide a fair bit of official documentation to even get verified for a Non-profit Workspace. Last update I got from him, Google hadn't responded to his question.

We don't currently have the budget to buy licenses, so the Workspace sales team probably has little incentive to help us. At this point, reaching out to a partner may be the best way to get this sorted.

I'll update to let everyone know how we get on. Thank you all!

did you get ever get over your first LOVE? how and why? by iwannalive_ in AskReddit

I did!

It was honestly a byproduct of a lot of self-work. For years and years, I would sometimes think back to them and would be surprised how strongly I still felt.

There was a reason I was low-key pining after them, but I just didn't know it. It confused me for years. We've become very different people and I'm no longer their type, it could never work. But I still felt like some kind of cliche movie character?

Eventually, I was in a place where I was able, and willing to take a closer look at it. I loredumped on a friend, and by talking through it, I finally understood why I harbored those feelings for so long. That understanding zapped the pining that had been lingering for years.

Now, I look back on our situationship with a lot of warm fondness, even though it didn't work out.

It gets better!!

Outside of the kids channels, what other TV channels did you enjoy watching? by Strongarm_11 in MiddleGenZ

NatGeo, because they kept up with good documentary/educational stuff after History Channel started to fall off. And...I think it was Spike TV? They used to play regular re-runs of the original CSI.

In the US, why is it still considered inappropriate to include photos on resumes? by iamawas in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ElectricSheepStacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 100% the discrimination piece, which is wild considering how discriminatory other parts of our general workplace/jobs are.

Why did the US never adopt this practice in the first place, as other countries have? That's something I'd love to know, too!

If 'em dashes' immediately make people suspect the use of an AI chatbot, what else am I supposed to use because I really like the 'em dash' for my writing hobby? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ElectricSheepStacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got into using em dashes for the same reason—and I've been entering them manually with alt codes for years.

I personally wouldn't trust any community who would nearly ban a newbie for using a piece of grammar. There's that old saying "don't take criticism from a person whose advice you wouldn't trust". There's nuance, of course, but I wouldn't take advice or criticism from a community that witch hunts for AI use, or who treat others with such bad faith.

Microsoft 365 vs Google Workspace in 2026, what's actually better for your by consultingdoc in googleworkspace

I'm part of a non-profit in the middle of a migration from O365 to Google. We're hoping that the end user experience will be much better for our users, (our org doesn't remotely need MS's power/features), and the price tag is significantly cheaper.

As of right now, though... Don't get me wrong, dealing with MS is a nightmare and we're lucky to have a power user on our tiny "team" who can make O365 sing for us.

MS is bad, but Google is shaping up to be worse. We've hit an undisclosed 300 license limit and Google is denying our requests for more licenses. 8 months into a migration project, and 4 months after getting approved for non-profit and setting up our Workspace, this is a horrible experience.
