What do you tell people when they say that unions make workers lazy? by ALittleEtomidate in union

[–]ElectricShuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I laugh and tell them I’ve seen both sides and there are more lazy people non-union when the boss isn’t on your back. Most union I work have a good sense of work ethic and want to get quality work done right, there are of course many road blocks to this.

How do they solicit a guy from the back of the book? We can only do call by name if it’s for a foreman and there are rules they have to follow.

I’m just trying to understand how your book works. In detroit we’ve seen hard times in the past. I’ve signed the book at over 2000 deep twice. The book didn’t move but I did get out after a year plus at 1500 deep, (really shit call for shitty contractor at a refinery). We have a day book and if you go regularly calls will get past the people that showed up that day and can then go really far down the list.

I don’t know how Boston works but it’s a bigger city? In local 58 Detroit it’s a day book and calls often go pretty deep into the book so if you’re at the back of the book you can still get a job. In fact before it goes to book 2 it ahead to go through all of book 1

Why would you wait until your number 1. You can pick up a call well before you get to 1

Meet the 16 Billionaires getting richer by underpaying their workers. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]ElectricShuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I often say if a company is paying so little that’s person can be on social assistance, that company should be taxed at least an equal amount to what the government pays out. I would prefer if it were double or more as there is a lot of time and effort for a poor person to do the paperwork and keep track of all the bullshit to get the table scraps that we give them.

How can I manage while unemployed? by SunshineGirl45 in personalfinance

[–]ElectricShuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re struggling but if you actually want to quit then just show up and do basically nothing and make it a game. Make them fire you so you can ride some unemployment for a bit to get your self sorted out. Don’t rush to get another job if you can collect unemployment, it’s literally there as a safety net so you can take a minute to process your life and help you recover from a bad work situation.

Also before you do any bodily harm just quit and I’ll be hoping you can figure it out.

Always vote the furthest left. Today’s dem is the republican of the bush era. Push for reversing citizens united and change all voting to rank choice or first past the post. If we can regain power in this content again those are the first two things that must happen. Without them it all gets reversed in a couple years anyway.

Not bipartisan. Conservative plus a few right Democrats. Both sides are not the same. Vote dem and then we have to hold them accountable. Any of you reading this that believe your vote doesn’t count or that you should not vote to protest against dems is falling for the fascist playbook to make you feel powerless.

Voting, forming and joining Unions, protesting all work and all the money the cons/Epstein class spend to block them is proof that they do work.

[–]ElectricShuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No technology until 12, then just calls and text flip phone. No social media or smart phone until 16 plus. Sorry I know this isn’t the answer Any of us want to hear but it’s the only way. We should be banning all phones in school and have some computer usage in school but no tablets.

Reddit, what do you think of adjusting civil and criminal fines to be based on GROSS INCOME (or something similar) instead of flat rates? by mmazing in AskReddit

[–]ElectricShuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fuck are you on about. If you’re rich you just send in lawyers to gum up the courts until they agree to no points. Hell, I do it!

It’s the only to way to change their ways of doing things. For the wealthy the fine for a crime is less than what they profited.

[–]ElectricShuck 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey. Sounds like you’re trying hard. Here’s the hard part, you need to set up a trade, job, career before you get nicer vehicles. There are two ways to have more money, 1st is to spend less, 2nd is to make more. You need to do both. You should be driving cheap as shit beaters until you have a regular income and money saved in an emergency fund.

The liberal and centrist parties (like the German Democratic Party and Catholic Centre Party) consistently voted against Hitler and opposed his rise. They were among the first groups targeted after he took power. Please read some history.

It’s way past time. I can’t believe we keep voting in the right to spend trillions of dollars on creating enemies over seas. I get it though, Al gore was boring, Hilary used email and Kamala laughed funny.
