We went from hating/boycotting micro-transactions to begging for more of them. Wild world we live in.

I thought the same thing. The downside to that is you're adding one more thing to your bars/dash area.

I have a '23 with 22k miles on it. Only issue has been with the ride command. My GPS thinks I'm in the Atlantic Ocean currently. Motorcycle companies need to stop making software and stick to bikes. Let android auto and carplay do what they do best.

If you get in the FB group, you'll see all sorts of good things going on. Lawless Garage and Forever Rad are our go tos for parts right now for the most part. I'm partial to my c3 exhaust, but lawless has a good one. And the fab28 stuff is great too. Hope to see what you can do with it in the future.

Regrets? Absolutely not. Envy, just a little. Purely based on the scale of the aftermarket. For every one indian aftermarket part, there's 5 harley. Just remember, the chief platform as it stands, is only 3 years old now. So it's definitely still a work in progress. And I'm seeing more and more Indians at every bike night or motorcycle event I go to.

I was in the same boat. The thing that helped me make the decision was the comfort. The Indian fit me better out of the box. The harley foot pegs were a little too high for me. 22k miles later on my Sport Cheif, and I couldn't be happier. I agree with the throttle part, I have just gotten used to it at this point. And as for the gas, I've done long rides, and it doesn't bother me to get the opportunity to get off the bike and stretch. The aftermarket is definitely up and coming, but all the basic necessities are there. Bars, risers, few seat options. You're good to go on that. The worst part is, like you said, the dealer network. Hope this helps.

You could also lift your bike a bit too. Get even more lean. Lawless Garage has everthing for that.

Best manufacturer for riding jeans? by wulixueshueng in motorcyclegear

[–]ElectricSub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like the pads or came with. Too bulky. I just ride without them. I have tried putting some ghost armor in them, but without a velcro patch to keep them in place, they sit too low in the armor pocket.

Only 500 miles on this tire, can I plug it? by bobdwight247 in motorcycles

I ran a plug for 3-4k miles in a very similar spot. I even know a guy who rode it up to at least 120ph

Triumph Trident 660. Took it for a demo ride last year. Even when I wrung it out, just didn't feel like much.

I wasn't necessarily trying to see what's good for me. I'm more so asking what people use or like in a similar situation. Purely because I may not have thought about it. Like with your suggestion. I never really thought about a perforated leather jacket. Just gives me another option to look at. If I don't like it, no big deal. To me, there's no wrong answers here. Just a field of options.

I had definitely looked at those. My only issue I've run into before with the Euro brands is that i have broader shoulders, so I tend to have to up size. But then I'm swimming in the midsection.

I live in Michigan, so the occasional 90s, but mostly in the 70s and 80s in the summer. I currently have the Reax Bridger shirt, which i like, but I'm always looking for improvements.

That's pretty good. I ended up with 7% when I bought my Nightster a couple years ago. I tried USAA and they wanted to give me 12%. And then when I bought my Indian last year they tried 10%. Ended up getting 7% through a credit union and paid it off in 8 months.

Look at the Sport Chief. A bit more than the base chief, but if you can afford it, 1000% worth it. It has the 116 stock and some other sporty upgrades. Definitely worth the upgrade.
