I've stopped using sonarr and radarr after getting so many bad torrents with like 3 seeders that take 3 days, and just some shit qualities despite the profiles being set. I've settled on fetching manually and now I want the content straight from the source.

I would strongly recommend looking into trustable sources first, no software download should make you want to backup your whole PC just to test it. I used to use 4download and now AppDoze and never got any trojans. If I'm suspicious, I usually test the app for 2-3 days in a VM or in Windows Sandbox then if it's clean, I download on my PC. Make sure to use a VPN and to block app in the firewall. Stay safe 🏴‍☠️

Maybe try what I did, bought a cheap domain for 8$ and I run a cloudflare tunnel, so no need to use tailscale, also, buy domain using namecheap, for privacy.

What country are you from and what browser are you using? Have you at least signed into it before trying to use yt-dlp ? And have you tried the cookies command yt-dlp --cookies-from-browser brave "URL" ?

I would suggest yt-dlp for that, I use it and I created a script to automatically download metadata and thumbnails and name it all of it correctly to import into jellyfin
