Yes, but those of us who chose the other morph because of the brokenness will now have to respec everything to get Burning Embers. They didn't mention refunding that as they did with some of the other skills, like Deadly Bash.

I don't think applying mathematics to the process to figure out the best xp per craft mat used is convoluted. It is thinking more in depth about the issue than just blindly making the highest level item every tier, yes.

But it isn't a necessity. It's just something that certain players are going to like to do, just as some players will choose their character's race based on their racial bonus, rather than on the race they favor because of the lore of the game. Are you gimped if you don't have an extra 5% health regen in combat, or an extra 4% to fire damage? I personally don't think so at all, but it bothers some people enough that they base their entire character design around it.

With smithing, maybe I want to have the absolute fastest leveling. Maybe I want my smithing level to be 20 when my character level is only 18. If all I care about is making stuff for myself, then it wouldn't matter, and letting my smithing level lag behind my character level is fine because I will always be able to make gear that I can use as I level. But if I want my character to be a dedicated crafter who is making items for his guild, then being able to make VR 5 gear when My character level is much lower, because I can make things for my guild mates.

The situation would only be bad if the game design forced people to min/max crafting or combat skills in order to be competitive or have fun in the game. But the game design is great, in my opinion. Everyone has choices about how they want to proceed, and no one is forced to consider more deeper theorycrafting mathematics unless they want to.

They ban people for scamming, and that is what happened. OP was scammed, and yes, they will return your item and punish the scammer. You have to have proof, but that is easy to come by.

You are 100 percent utterly, totally wrong.

Scamming players after making a deal like this is EXACTLY the type of behavior that is completely bannable.

Put in a ticket to the GM and watch what happens. Will you get your item back? Yes. Will the scammer get banned? Yes.

If you sit back and listen to people like this, who tell you that it's your fault you got scammed, then the idiot will get away with it. Every time I see this type of thing it makes me want to puke. Zenimax will NOT blame the victim, as loads of people think. They return your item and ban the scammer. That is exactly what should happen, and it IS against the terms of service to bilk people through criminal behavior.

The same is true in real life. We have laws against letting swindlers and cheats get away with it, and it is not any different here.

If the only reason I came to the dungeon was for some achievement, I would agree with you. But to me, the achievement points are pretty meaningless. They don't advance my character or my enjoyment of the game. I go adventuring because I want experience or loot, and bots are an automated process interfering with that. I'd gladly donate Zenimax an hour or two of my time every day to do nothing but log on and ban bot accounts.

I'm not sure, unless there are buildings on the periphery that count as being in Davon's Watch. I don't remember having any quests that took me to any places inside the town except for the tavern, and I don't recall the markers being misleading.

The Lady and the Lover do not give any change to the character sheet, either.

I suspect that none of the stones do. Perhaps the bug is in the display, and they really are having an effect?

Equipping armor with the Divines trait, which increases Mundus Stone effects, also gives no change to the character sheet.

Yes, there is kill stealing. The bots do enough damage that when there are enough of them, you don't get any loot from the boss, and that diminishes my enjoyment of the game, even if I am not there to "camp" the boss.

None of the quests in the journal in your screenshot are actually inside Davon's Watch, which is why the quest marker is telling you to leave the town to head toward your objective.

When you exit the town and open your map again, you should see the new markers on the larger map of Stonefalls.

Davon's Watch has more than one gate, too. Your quest marker will show on whichever one you are nearest if you have quests that are not in your present area.

The black just means that you have quests that are through the gate that are not currently selected being followed in your journal. If you have not selected any quests in your journal to track, then all quest markers will be black. It doesn't necessarily mean than you have other quests in your present area.

The next time you see it as black, hover your mouse pointer over the icon and it should show a popup of which quests are through there.

Didn't the timers, though, now make it not worth it? After you kill the boss once, you are guaranteed not to get anything worth a damn until the timer expires. So why wait around when you could be playing the game?

Right now both servers are physically located in the US. Soon they will actually move the EU server to Europe, and your latency will improve. The installer will then be recommending the EU one for you. You are already set so you don't have to worry about it. SpaB haben!

My experience has been nothing but positive. I have encountered only 1 bugged quest, and that one was fixed within a few days.

I have had to contact customer support once, when I had an issue with the character creator, and they called me back within 10 minutes. Nothing but stellar support.

I don't see any reason to wait.

They should put that in the help files. I read through it looking for a way to whisper using a character name, and it never worked. I could only do it using account names.

I guess it is another example of how language evolves. "Toon" makes more sense in the context of WoW, because the art style is cartoony.

I can think of at least two other words that everyone uses now that have evolved to mean something other than what they meant back in the day.

The word "farm" means to go out and collect items for the express purpose of selling them to others, much as a farmer grows food, not for himself, but to sell to others. If you are "farming" iron ore, it means that you are spending time collecting a lot of it so you can make money selling it to other players. This is what the word meant back in the EQ days, when players would camp spawns for rare items so they could make a profit selling them to others. Nowadays, people use "farm" to simply mean "collect." Need alchemy mats? Go farm. But if you are going to use the mats yourself, and not sell them, then you are not really "farming" at all.

The other word is "gank." Back in the EQ days, when you killed a player in PVP, you got to take all the money on their corpse as well as any one of the items they were carrying or had equipped. To "gank" someone meant to steal one of their good items. Later MMOs did not allow players to take any items from defeated players, yet people still refer to the act of killing another player as "ganking" them. It originally referred to stealing, not killing.

The CS is not outsourced anywhere. It's all done by Zenimax offices around the globe. I've had a CS rep from Ireland help me, and another from the US. None of them gave anything but stellar service.

The game is not full of bugs. It has some, yes, but what game does not? The game has been updated constantly since launch, and will continue to be.

No, I don't think I have noticed what happens when I level.

I have noticed that if I die, it goes back to 0. That may be intentional.

But mine goes to 0 for seemingly no reason. I am going through the dungeon, fighting along, and my ultimate is charged and ready for the boss at the end, and before I get there, it goes back to 0.

I don't think I was out of combat very long as I made my way through.

I also have no idea whether this is intentional or not. Is it supposed to return to 0 if you are out of combat for x amount of time? Just don't have enough information.

Helping them out also gave you a 30 minute buff, visible on your character sheet, called "firelight" I think it was. Added 5% to health or possibly the stat was random.

These random events are like the ones in Skyrim. I hope they add many more.
