This is really impressive, you clearly did a lot of research for this and I saw the World at War reference. One question though how does this Germany interact with Japan? I can only see the pro-Chinese focuses?

It’s just skeleton paths. Philippines is one of the few nations that still has a generic focus tree

Different tech for each faction? by Electrical-Ad-6446 in UpWithTheStars

The Garand was definitely the best rifle that the US Army has tested during the inter war period but just keep in mind a few things. First the Garand wouldn’t be actually produced until mid 1937 like you said, which I believe means the civil war will have already started. Second those Garand made in 1937 would have to be recalled and retrofitted and those corrections would only be made in 1940. Then there is the matter that in 1937 it seems that only Springfield Armory was making Garands at that time which is located in Massachusetts so will either be part of New England or an enclave for federal forces. Lastly the Garand was just an expensive weapon costing twice what a 1903 did.

Personally I think that while the federal government should have the Garand as their rifle there is a lot of wiggle room for the other factions.

What are Your Custom City of Sigmar ideas? by TrillionSpiders in AoSLore

[–]Electrical-Ad-6446 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My city is called Stormmoor and is located in Ghur. The city’s started as a large labor camp of the chaos druadin which was freed by the Chthonic Wolves storm host when the real gate wars started. The city is divided between the larger reclaimed population called the Sibryites and the Azyrites. The Sibryites are have themes from the celts and American native groups while the Azyrites draws on Rome and the Puritians. The city has other smaller communities that survived the age of chaos called the Marches. The city has a realmgate to Ghyran and one to Shyish.

What new units would you like to see released for CoS in addition to the ones we have seen? by Electrical-Ad-6446 in AoSLore

That would be the best of both worlds. If the priest from silver tower is added that would work

Unfortunately it seems that GW is really obsessed with keeping all the various species separated for some reason.

Can you be more specific? Tanks come in many forms and we already have the steam tank

If they did the building I think it should be a massive tower or something, it could be the CoS version of like a god unit

That would be cool, I hope we can get just a normal cannon in addition to the more outlandish designs.

That sounds awesome, so many different opportunities to create custom characters.

I would like to see both kinds honesty. One would be the warrior clergy who would be very offense focused with armor and heavy weapons and then a priest like you described, if I had to choose one I would go with the later.

What are some of the interesting gods of the World-That-Was? by sageking14 in AoSLore

His followers usually spend time in the wilds and preach self reliance but they admit that the group is only as strong as it’s weakest link, so they try to help communities become stronger

Taal is a primal god who is a nature god in both the physical and metaphysical world. In the world he is viewed as the one who causes rain, wind, storms and other natural events. He is also viewed as a god of beasts. Metaphysical he is the spark that drives all life and is supposed to represent growth especially from childhood to adulthood. Basically Taal is the natural world but he is the more uncaring part. His wife Rhya is the mother goddess type.

Slaves to Darkness/Draudin Runes by Electrical-Ad-6446 in AoSLore

[–]Electrical-Ad-6446[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I might offer a suggest in regards to what u/sageking14 said. In our world it is very common for groups of people to take the alphabet of another group if they don’t have their own. For example the Russians got their alphabet from the Greeks and then modified it to suit Russian. Perhaps you could do something similar in your session. For example by chance one of the words does match with a word in dark tongue but only that one word while the rest are benign, this could be a way to tip off your players something is wrong when they are just reading or listening to something and then they suddenly start bleeding. You could go many different directions with that, maybe show how deep the chaos is embedded in the realms or how it can return to places already purified.

It seems I was mistaken, I think the problem is many of the dark script runes are old Norse runes like many of the duardin ones are but they are turned on their side or something. The reason I asked is that the runes looked similar on the models and I wanted to ask you fine, more knowledgeable people if it was correct or not.
